Mat 13:22, “And the one sown with seed among the thorns, this is the one who hears the Word, and the anxiety of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the Word, and it becomes unfruitful.”
Jesus says there are two things which obstruct the hearing of the Word of truth: the anxiety of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth. They choke the Word, and makes the hearer unfruitful. Deceitfulness in Greek is apatē which means deceit; delusion; deceivableness; deception; - which occurs 7 times in the New Testament. Wealth or riches are characterized by deceitfulness. Wealth can cheat and deceive people. Wealth gives a false impression. For example, money appears to give a false impression that it can satisfy all human needs and desires. In fact, money cannot satisfy. Wealth like sin has its deceitfulness. Wealth is a source of deceitfulness. Sin creates the lusts of deceit or deceitful lusts. Wealth is a kind of lust, the more you have the more you need. The love of money (greed) is a bait or snare that leads people astray.
I do not know who Robert Heilbroner was but I agree with what he said, “It is one of the dangerous self-deceptions of our society to pretend that mechanisms of control do not really exist, and to maintain, without qualification, that we are an economically "free" people.”
Western society is not free. How can American society be free when 1% of population rules over the 99% and owns most of the power and wealth of the nation?

If you had never visited Washington, D.C. before, may I suggest you take time and walk around those majestic federal buildings as I did the first time I arrived and it dawned on me how organized and strong is the deception of bureaucracy. There are many symbols that powerfully devoted to misleading a bewildered people.

Audette was but I agree the way he described a patriot, “Lesson number one in trying to develop the ability of independent thought: Understand that EVERYTHING the government says has the potential to be lies and deception. You can believe it's the truth only after you question, exhaust every avenue, and find that their story checks out. If you're a patriot, it's your duty to always question your government anyway, at every turn. A patriot is loyal to his country and his countrymen, not his government.”
I do not know if a person says he is loyal to his country but not loyal to his government, can it be considered a crime or a suspect? Actually, there are many leaders and politicians who are loyal to the government, but not really loyal to the country.
It was Charles Grandison Finney who defined what lying is, “Understand now what lying is. Any species of designed deception. If the deception is not designed it is not lying. But if you design to make an impression contrary to the naked truth, you lie.”
Although I am not ready to debate the issues. In passing I want to say you can tell a lie even it is not a designed deception.
Jer 28:15, “Then Jeremiah the prophet said to Hananiah the prophet, “Listen now, Hananiah: the LORD has not sent you, and you have made this people trust in a lie.”
I do not know who was Robert Anton Wilson but he spoke with experience, “Governments are based pincipally on force and deception. Democratic governments are based chiefly on deception, other governments on force. That is why it is so urgent to revise the American Constitution to vest national sovereignty on the American citizens so that the majority can do what it must. American politics are paralyzed by the two party-interest, and kidnapped by special interest. Election becomes irrelevant to democracy. Democracy becomes irrelevant to government. Government becomes irrelevant to voters or people.
It was Hugo Black who said, “The Press was protected so that it could bare the secrets of the government and inform the people. Only a free and unrestrained press can effectively expose deception in government. And paramount among the responsibilities of a free press is the duty to prevent any part of the government from deceiving the people.”
The Press which Hugo Black said about no longer exists in America nor anywhere in the world. What is now is the powerful Mass Media that manufactures fake news, false reports, false views, and spreads lies and falsehoods, deceits and propaganda, well paid agents of the governments.

“People of low standing are only breath, and people of rank are a lie; in the balances they go up. Together they are lighter than breath.”

People lie because they want to lie. Western media lie because there is no truth in their journalists. Like their father, Western leaders and politicians lie, kill, and rob as they please because they rule and dominate the world.
Mic 1:14, “Therefore you will give parting gifts On behalf of Moresheth-gath; The houses of Achzib will become a deception To the kings of Israel.”
Gifts or presents can open the gate of the royal palace. Bribery or gifts blind the recipient to do what is wrong. If you bribe an official, he will do you a favor which is against the law. If you give gifts to a judge, the judge may made a decree against justice. Gifts open the door which is unavailable. That is how the former presidents sell their influence for their clients to access the decision-making individuals so that the three parties all get rich the crooked way.

Isa 28:15, “Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol we have made a pact. The overwhelming scourge will not reach us when it passes by, for we have made falsehood our refuge and we have concealed ourselves with deception.”
Western leaders and politicians and Western media have concealed themselves with deception. Hypocrites are in high places.
I like the candor of Marcus Aurelius in saying, “If someone can prove me wrong and show me my mistake in any thought or action, I shall gladly change. I seek the truth, which never harmed anyone: the harm is to persist in one's own self-deception and ignorance."
I. WHAT IS DECEPTION
What this article is written has nothing to do with military deception during war.

We are not interested here to debate whether military deceptions during war were justified or not.
I intentionally use the deception of Jacob as an illustration of the complicated nature of deception.
Jacob’s deception was written as follows:
Gen 27:1-29, “Now it came about, when Isaac was old and his eyes were too dim to see, that he called his older son Esau and said to him, “My son.” And he said to him, “Here I am.”
Isaac said, “Behold now, I am old and I do not know the day of my death.
“Now then, please take your gear, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me; and prepare a savory dish for me such as I love, and bring it to me that I may eat, so that my soul may bless you before I die.”
Rebekah was listening while Isaac spoke to his son Esau. So when Esau went to the field to hunt for game to bring home, Rebekah said to her son Jacob, “Behold, I heard your father speak to your brother Esau, saying, ‘Bring me some game and prepare a savory dish for me, that I may eat, and bless you in the presence of the LORD before my death.’
“Now therefore, my son, listen to me as I command you. “Go now to the flock and bring me two choice young goats from there, that I may prepare them as a savory dish for your father, such as he loves. Then you shall bring it to your father, that he may eat, so that he may bless you before his death.”
Jacob answered his mother Rebekah, “Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man and I am a smooth man. Perhaps my father will feel me, then I will be as a deceiver in his sight, and I will bring upon myself a curse and not a blessing.” But his mother said to him, “Your curse be on me, my son; only obey my voice, and go, get them for me.” So he went and got them, and brought them to his mother; and his mother made savory food such as his father loved.
Then Rebekah took the best garments of Esau her elder son, which were with her in the house, and put them on Jacob her younger son. And she put the skins of the young goats on his hands and on the smooth part of his neck. She also gave the savory food and the bread, which she had made, to her son Jacob. Then he came to his father and said, “My father.” And he said, “Here I am. Who are you, my son?” Jacob said to his father, “I am Esau your firstborn; I have done as you told me. Get up, please, sit and eat of my game, that you may bless me.” Isaac said to his son, “How is it that you have it so quickly, my son?” And he said, “Because
the LORD your God caused it to happen to me.”
Then Isaac said to Jacob, “Please come close, that I may feel you, my son, whether you are really my son Esau or not.” So Jacob came close to Isaac his father, and he felt him and said, “The voice is the voice of Jacob, but the hands are the hands of Esau.” He did not recognize him, because his hands were hairy like his brother Esau’s hands; so he blessed him. And he said, “Are you really my son Esau?” And he said, “I am.” So he said, “Bring it to me, and I will eat of my son’s game, that I may bless you.” And he brought it to him, and he ate; he also brought him wine and he drank.
Then his father Isaac said to him, “Please come close
and kiss me, my son.” So he came close and kissed him; and when he smelled the smell of his garments, he blessed him and said, “See, the smell of my son Is like the smell of a field which the LORD has blessed; now may God give you of the dew of Heaven, and of the fatness of the earth, and an abundance of grain and new wine; May peoples serve you, and nations
bow down to you; Be master of your brothers, and may your mother’s sons bow down to you. Cursed be those who curse you, and blessed be those who bless you.”
Jacob assumed the person Esau to deceive Isaac.
I know I must tread carefully how I analyze and comment on this historical account:
First I ask God to forgive me if my criticizing of Isaac offends God.
1. Given the apparent character weakness of Isaac, I must admit Isaac holds a patriarchal position before the Almighty God, because God is known Exo 3:6, “He said also, “I am the God of your father, the God
of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Then Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.”
Jesus Himself also said, Mat 22:32, “I AM THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, AND THE GOD OF ISAAC, AND THE GOD OF JACOB’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.”
I do not know if I offend God or not by criticizing Isaac.
2. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are only the three individuals who blessed their children, and God honors their blessings.
3. The same parents can produce one son hairy and another son smooth. Most White men have hairy chests, the Chinese are smooth.
4. The parents are divided: the favorite son of Isaac was Esau, while the favorite son of Rebekah was Jacob.
5. Isaac was old and his eyes were too dim to see, most likely he suffered cataract.
6. It appears Isaac exchanged a savory dish for which he loved for blessing to Esau.
7. I do not know whether it was possible to steal someone’s blessing or not.
8. Rebekah assumed personal responsibility for his son’s deception of his father. Can it be said that love has a devious way?
9. Are the meat of young goats better than young sheep? I have no cultural background to make that determination.
10. Was Isaac himself was confused that he said “The voice is the voice of Jacob, but the hands are the hands of Esau.”
11. For engaging in farming, this blessing is vital: now may God give you of the dew of Heaven, and of the fatness of the earth, and an abundance of grain and new wine.
12. May peoples serve you, and nations bow down to you -- this appears to be political blessing.
13. Be master of your brothers, and may your mother’s sons bow down to you -- Is this not the seed of sibling conflict?
14. Cursed be those who curse you, and blessed be those who bless you -- this above all the most important blessing. So I bless Israel and stand with them in the Palestinian-Israel conflict.
Jer 29:8-9, “For this is what the LORD of armies, the God of Israel says: ‘Do not let your prophets who are in your midst or your diviners deceive you, and do not listen to their interpretations of your dreams which you dream. For they prophesy falsely to you in My name; I have not sent them,’ declares the LORD.”
False prophets prophesy falsely and they deceive the peoples.
Pro 24:28, “Do not be a witness against your neighbor for no reason, and do not deceive with your lips.”
Deceive in Hebrew is pāṯâ which means to entice; allure; persuade; seduce; delude; cheat; ensnare; - which occurs 28 times in the Old Testament.
Eph 5:6, “See that no one deceives you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.”
People who deceive you with empty words are the sons of disobedience.
Deceive in Greek is apataō which means to cheat; delude; beguile; ensnare; allure; seduce; - which occurs 4 times in the New Testament.
Rev 12:9, “And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.”
Deceive in Greek is planaō which means to cause to stray, to lead astray, lead aside from the right way (Strong’s Concordance); to lead away from the truth, to lead into error, to deceive; to be led away into error and sin; - which occurs 39 times in the New Testament.
We learn false prophets, false witness, false teachers deceive the peoples and Satan himself the great deceiver deceives the whole world.
The wise Soren Kierkegaard said, “Only one deception is possible in the infinite sense, self-deception.”
I do not know why and how Europeans and Americans can commit self-deception for so long and so high and so wide and so deep without consciousness of sins and guilt. The greatest incomprehensible is the fact they know the Christian truth and the Christian morality. For the same reason, it is hard to believe they committed systematic genocide of Red Indian children many under the auspices of religious boarding schools! From the other viewpoint, that is why evil is deemed a mystery!
I agree with Leonardo da Vinci in saying, “The greatest deception men suffer is from their own opinions.”
Western leaders and politicians suffer too high opinions about their form of government and system of economy. If they really believe in their form of government and economic system, what have they to fear of Russia and China? The history of the world has attested that the history of China has been abused and oppressed by the West. If you are really superior, people will copy you, there is no need to force yourself on others.
II. THE ORIGIN OF DECEPTION
Mar 7:21-23. “For from within, out of the hearts of people, come the evil thoughts, acts of sexual immorality, thefts, murders, acts of adultery, deeds of greed, wickedness, deceit, indecent behavior, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile
the person.” I use deceit and deception as synonymous. The origin of deception is from within, out of the hearts of people.
Job 15:35, “They conceive harm and give birth to wrongdoing, and their mind prepares deception.”
The Scripture provides an origin of deception. At first the evildoers conceive harm or evil in their heart. Harm gives birth to wrongdoing or misdeed. And then they use their mind to prepare deception which is treachery. Deception is not a passive act.
Harm in Hebrew is ʿāmāl which means mischief; travail; trouble; misery; pain; grievance; sorrow; wickedness; perverseness; toil; weariness; anguish; vexation; hurt; - which occurs 55 times in the Old Testament. Wrongdoing in Hebrew is 'āven which means iniquity; wickedness; evil; sorrow; misdeed; unrighteousness; trouble; misfortune; - which occurs 79 times in the Old Testament. Deception in Hebrew is mirmâ which means deceit; guile; treachery; fraud; craftiness; trick; - which occurs 39 times in the Old Testament.
For example, NATO was conceived by Western leaders and politicians, the goal of their mischief was to destroy the former Soviet Union (now Russia), it brings forth iniquity in their plan of action, and they use their mind of deception to prepare for NATO extension and expansion. Ukraine is a puppet and a proxy. The same is true with QUAD, led by America, conceived mischief of destroying China in Asia, and they use economic framework as an incentive to deceive and seduce ASEAN countries. The sole goal of American empire is to destroy Russia and China so that there are no obstacles, they can rule and dominate the world as they please, practicing unilateralism without hindrance or opposition.
The great philosopher Immanuel Kant said, ”In law a man is guilty when he violates the rights of others. In ethics he is guilty if he only thinks of doing so.”
All deception originates from violating the rights of others. Deception originates from an evil heart. God judges a man by his thoughts, words, and deeds.
2Ch 12:14, “But he did evil because he did not set his heart to seek the LORD.”
King Rehoboam had abandoned the Lord and so he did evil.
No one whose heart seeks the Lord will do evil. Deception is a kind of evil. A man who sets his heart to seek the Lord will not have deception. A person who has deception in his heart will not seek the Lord.
It was Mark Twain who said, “Everybody lies...every day, every hour, awake, asleep, in his dreams, in his joy, in his mourning. If he keeps his tongue still his hands, his feet, his eyes, his attitude will convey deception.”
Man by nature is a liar. Rom 3:4, “Far from it! Rather, God must prove to be true, though every person be found a liar, as it is written:
“SO THAT YOU ARE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS,
AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED.”
Every human being is a liar because every person is a sinner.
Some dummkopf was so confused in saying, “I worry about anthropomorphism as a form of self-deception. (The Christian religion is an anthropomorphic account of the universe.)”
Christianity is never anthropomorphism. Heb 1:2,
“And now in these final days, He has spoken to us through His Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son He created the universe.”
Eph 4:10, “And the same One who descended is the One who ascended higher than all the Heavens, so that He might fill the entire universe with Himself.”
Heb 11:3, “By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God's command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.”
Col 2:8, “See to it that no one makes a prey of you by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the universe, and not according to Christ.”
Philosophy (ideology) and human tradition prey on peoples.
Heb 1:3, “He reflects the glory of God and bears the very stamp of His nature, upholding the universe by His Word of power. When He had made purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”
Psa 50:6, “And the Heavens declare His righteousness, for God Himself is judge. Selah”
I had never found anything disagreeable with the wise Blaise Pascal had said, “The two principles of truth, reason and senses, are not only both not genuine, but are engaged in mutual deception. The senses deceive reason through false appearances, and the senses are disturbed by passions, which produce false impressions.”
That is why we must test the reason and senses of men by the Word of God.
2Th 2:11, “And for this cause God shall send them
strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:”
People who have strong delusion want to believe a lie. I think Western leaders and politicians are cases in point, they all have strong delusion and want to believe in Russia threat and China threat even though the evidence contradicts them.
I agree with George Eliot for her insight in saying, “What destroys us most effectively is not a malign fate but our own capacity for self-deception and for degrading our own best self.”
The capacity of Western leaders and politicians for self-deception and for degrading their own best self is beyond my imagination. How could anybody with the right mind would willingly accept that “ the government of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has indicated that up to $7 billion per month will be needed to keep Ukraine functioning.”
Are American citizens willing to pay $7 billion per month to keep Ukraine functioning? I just learn about this amount, and I am sure most Americans do not know what is happening and how Ukraine is spending American taxpayers money. As an American citizen I would not give 7 pennies out of the United States Treasury a month to Ukraine. The world will be better off without the existence of Ukraine and its nincompoop. Any people who wastes taxpayers’ money would give me a fit, and forces me to dislike them. Even my own government, I do not think it deserves to spend $7 billion a month on its officials, that is why the U.S. suffers the greatest national debt of exceeding $35 trillion! That is the problem of 1 percent of the population rules over the 99 percent who have no right to determine the direction and destiny of our nation. Do Americans care if Ukraine vanishes from the surface of the earth? Why American taxpayers’ money is used to support the existence of so many useless and unworthy governments in the world?
III. DECEPTION IS WORTHLESS
Psa 4:2, “O sons of men, how long will my honor become a reproach?
How long will you love what is worthless and aim at deception? Selah.”
Despite of elaborate scheme of the wicked, the Word of God declares the aim of deception is worthless.
Worthless in Hebrew is rîq which means empty thing; something vain; no purpose; fruitless; valueless; useless; - which occurs 12 times in the Old Testament.
Col 2:8, “See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.”
To take captive in Greek is sylagōgeō which means to spoil; to lead away from the truth and subject to one's sway (Strong’s Concordance); seduce; carry off as a slave; - which occurs 1 time in the New Testament. It is amazing that philosophy can take captive of a person, lead away from the truth and subject the person to sway. Some ideology has taken captive of some country. I believe American leaders and politicians, knowingly or unknowingly, have been taken captive by so-called democracy which is empty deception. America does not practice democracy; for 1 percent of the population rules over the 99 percent; and owns most of the wealth and power. Empty in Greek is kenos which means vain; devoid of truth; of no purpose; fruitless; without effect; - which occurs 18 times in the New Testament. Deception in Greek is apatē which means deceit; deceitfulness; deceiveableness; delusion; - which occurs 7 times in the New Testament. Western leaders and politicians deceive the whole world by empty deception of democracy. What they actually want is to dictate and dominate the world.
The US uses the propaganda of promoting democracy, human rights, freedom and justice in attacking and occupying many countries and killing millions of innocent peoples. Afghanistan illustrates the worthlessness of American war and aggression. After 20 years of war and waste of taxpayers’ $8 trillion dollars, the American Afghan puppet regime collapsed, and the stronger and well-equipped army ran before Taliban without a fight. By the same token America lost and failed in Iraq, Libya, Vietnam, etc. Deception is worthless and does not work even in this world. NATO is a deception, it is not a protection of peace, it is a war machine of aggression and expansion.
Niccolo Machiavelli had a point in saying, “Men are so simple and so much inclined to obey immediate needs that a deceiver will never lack victims for his deceptions.”
There are so many victims of deceptions, willing and unwilling.
A wicked unbeliever said, “For as long as I care to remember, religion, like the striptease, has always been a display of the power of suggestion. Like the Virgin Birth, it has all too often supported an immaculate deception.”
Obviously, the man not only does not have the knowledge of God, he is an enemy of God. To compare the Holy Religion of Christianity with striptease tells the man’s evil heart and lack of judgment. The Roman Catholic Church clearly misrepresents the Christian Faith and creates many doctrinal errors. The Holy Bible speaks of the Virgin Birth as explained that Mary was a virgin who never had sexual relations with any man, and the conception of Jesus in her womb was immaculate because it was caused by the Holy Spirit. Mary gave birth to Jesus before she had sex with Joseph. After Jesus, Mary had relations with Joseph and produced several sons and daughters. So Mary was not the Perpetual Virgin, and Mary was not sinless or immaculate.
Benjamin Franklin said, “Tricks and treachery are the practice of fools, that don't have brains enough to be honest.”
Deception is often shrouded with hypocrisy. Hypocrisy definitely degrades a person. Hypocrisy means to pretend to be someone or something you are not. Western democracy is a deception.
IV. DECEPTION OF HEART
Jer 23:26, “How long? Is there anything in the hearts of the prophets who prophesy falsehood, even these prophets of the deception of their own heart.” The deception of one’s heart is the worst form of deception.
Poor Jacob deceived Isaac to obtain the blessing. The ten sons of Jacob deceived their father with the false evidence that Joseph must be killed by animals.
I agree with Horace who said, “He who has made it a practice to lie and deceive his father, will be the most daring in deceiving others.”

“Washington’s anti-China economic framework offers nothing to prospective members The Indo-Pacific Economic Framework wants China’s neighbors to buy American hot air.

On Monday, during his first official visit to Japan, US President Joe Biden announced the launch of a new project called the ‘Indo-Pacific Economic Framework’, which the White House claims to be an economic vision for Asia in an obvious bid to try and counter China. Thirteen countries have signed up to the agreement, including India, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and all of the ASEAN members, excluding Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos (which are ostracized for being too pro-China).
But what exactly does this agreement mean? And what does it offer and consist of? That’s a good question, and most people are wondering the same thing. The Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) is not a trade deal, is not an investment agreement, not a treaty, and not an institution; it is an American slogan at best, a slogan which is really just focused on indirectly attacking China, rather than actually offering any serious economic commitments, a recognition that they have long lost the economic debate in Asia, but nonetheless are unwilling to do much about it.
Why is the US proposing such a bizarre and unsubstantial initiative? Right now, American trade and economic policy is in a bind. Owing to the legacy of former President Donald Trump, US domestic politics is strongly focused on trade protectionism in the name of ‘America First’, which has evolved into bipartisan opposition to free trade and a belief that American jobs should be prioritized and established where possible. Big free trade agreements, as it goes, are argued to undermine America’s trade competitiveness, unless they are secured on lopsided terms favouring the United States.
US accuses China of harming global trade
In line with this, the Trump administration immediately withdrew the US from the initial anti-China trade deal which the Obama administration created, known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), now called the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). Now, China itself seeks to join that remaining agreement, after securing the Regional Comprehensive Partnership (RCEP) with other countries in the Asia-Pacific the previous year.
This has left the US out in the cold – Washington does not have an economic answer to Beijing in the geopolitical competition in Asia, but also cannot make serious commitments because of the domestic political picture prohibiting it. Free trade agreements require reciprocity, but the US cannot tolerate the idea of conceding market access to another cheap labour economy such as Vietnam or India.
The result is the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, an economic policy by slogan which pledges to try and write the economic rules of Asia according to American preferences, including proposing an Anti-China supply chain (marketed as resiliency).
There are multiple things wrong with this. First of all, the economies of the Asia-Pacific, as geography goes, are deeply integrated with China, which is their largest trading partner. This includes close US allies such as Japan, and of course South Korea, whose new pro-US president, Yoon Suk-yeol, pledged to join this agreement. For comparison, attempting to get these countries to shun economic ties with China is like asking the Netherlands to cut off Germany; it’s impossible, because on a regional level, economic growth and prosperity require a ‘relative gain’ between countries as opposed to a zero-sum policy. Because China is the largest economy, the largest population and the largest market in the region, it is the effective center of the regional economy. Not the United States.
The EU should complement, not compete with, China’s Belt and Road Initiative
Once you consider the fact the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework pledges no funds whatsoever, has no way to facilitate any serious joint agreements, and in fact the US cannot even persuade its members to allow Taiwan to join it on consideration of China, this initiative seems dead on arrival.
While China-backed projects such as the Belt and Road Initiative have come with trillions of dollars’ worth of funding, serious institutions such as the Asian Investment and Infrastructure Bank (AIIB) exist, the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework is at best rhetorical, a marketing effort to make the US appear relevant and to more readily present its goals, and we’ve had plenty of those already – all of which were all deliberately targeted at China, such as the ‘Blue Dot Initiative’, ‘Build Back Better World’, and so on – but where are they now?
The IPEF seems to be just the latest gimmick on this conveyor belt of anti-China proposals, and like the rest, it is likely to ultimately fizzle out because they are not gamechangers and do not make serious commitments, precisely because the US largely expects the private sector to mop up the work, does not commit state funding to non-military matters, and of course, dismisses the economic realities of China’s own rise and other countries’ interests in maintaining ties with Beijing.”

“With a $40 billion plan, the US is setting itself up for an expensive failure in Ukraine
Eight decades ago, America’s ‘arsenal of democracy’ helped in the defeat of Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. In recent years, however, it's been less effective American democracy in action is as perturbing and frustrating to watch for a US citizen as it is confounding to outsiders. It's become especially true in this age of extreme partisan politics, where legislation is prepared, debated, stalled, passed, or killed through parliamentary procedures and processes that are opaque even to those participating in them. Rare are the moments of bipartisan agreement, when the democratic processes appear to flow seamlessly, allowing critical legislation to be enacted in a timely fashion.
However, when Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pushed through a massive $40 billion appropriations bill for aid to Ukraine, she did so in a single day. The text of the proposed legislation was released in the morning, a ‘debate’ was held throughout the day (in actuality, little more than a series of speeches by lawmakers on why this legislation was so important), and then a vote was taken that saw the bill approved by a 368-57 margin.
It was then sent on to the Senate, where both the Democrat's majority leader, Chuck Schumer, and the Republican minority leader, Mitch McConnell, were ready to similarly chaperone the legislation through their chamber and onto the desk of President Joe Biden, who had indicated he would sign it immediately. Then something happened that speaks to the wisdom of the Founding Fathers when they crafted the bi-cameral makeup of the US Congress. James Madison, one of the major architects of the US Constitution, had envisioned that the US Senate would function, by design, as a deliberative body, serving as a check on the potential of the House to succumb to the passions of populism. Yet when the Senate became mired in endless debate, and thus failed to advance legislation critical to the interests of the Republic, it was compelled to impose a legislative procedure designed to speed things along. Called ‘unanimous consent’, this procedure was designed to forgo the kind of lengthy debate that formed the core of the Senate’s inherent constitutional responsibility for deliberation.
America's selective outrage over Ukraine is fashioned by a well-oiled propaganda machine... just ask the people of Yemen.
Both Schumer and McConnell had envisioned the Ukraine aid bill sailing through the Senate chamber using this ‘unanimous consent’ procedure. But then Rand Paul, the junior Republican senator from Kentucky (the senior being the aforementioned McConnell), decided that his duty to the Constitution superseded his subservience to political process and refused to give his consent. “My oath of office is to the US Constitution, not to any foreign nation and no matter how sympathetic the cause, my oath of office is to the national security of the United States of America,” Senator Paul declared. “We cannot save Ukraine by dooming the US economy,” he continued, pointing to a 40-year-record inflation rate of 8.3% as an indicator of the economic pain being suffered by the American people. “Congress should evaluate the cost of going down this path,” Paul said. “We cannot save Ukraine by killing our economic strength. So I act to modify the bill to allow a for a special inspector general. This would be the inspector general that’s been overseeing the waste in Afghanistan and has done a great job.”
Senator Paul was referring to the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR), a position created by the National Defense Authorization Act for the fiscal year of 2008. SIGAR’s oversight mission provided, among other things, for the carrying out and supervision of audits and investigations relating to programs funded by US taxpayer dollars appropriated by the US Congress. Inherent in this mandate was the ability to promote efficiency and effectiveness in the administration of American funded programs and to prevent waste, fraud, and abuse.
One of the greatest problems faced by the US in Afghanistan, SIGAR declared, was the failure to “place a high priority on the threat of corruption in the first years of the reconstruction effort.” The problem of corruption was so great that, by 2009, Washington recognized that systemic corruption in Afghanistan represented a strategic threat to the overall American mission in the country. As US Ambassador Ryan Crocker noted in 2016: “The ultimate point of failure for our efforts…wasn’t an insurgency. It was the weight of endemic corruption.”
From the perspective of SIGAR, two of the major reasons for the American failure in Afghanistan revolved around the failure on the part of the US government to develop an adequate sense of context, resulting in situations where “US officials often empowered powerbrokers who preyed on the population or diverted US assistance away from its intended recipients to enrich and empower themselves and their allies.”
Likewise, the failure to adequately monitor and evaluate funded programs created an environment where, void of periodic reality checks, US program implementors ran the risk “of doing the wrong thing perfectly: A project that completed required tasks would be considered ‘successful,’ whether or not it had achieved or contributed to broader, more important goals.”
When looking at the rush to provide Ukraine with tens of billions of dollars of US aid and assistance, one cannot help but be struck by a sense of déjà vu that Washington is repeating the same mistakes that helped produce the Afghanistan debacle. In particular, it is a failure to operate with an “adequate sense of context” regarding Ukraine while proceeding to fund programs devoid of anything resembling a properly mandated and organized monitoring and evaluation system. According to the CATO Institute, US officials (including members of Congress) “have created a stunningly misleading image of Ukraine” as “a plucky and noble bulwark of freedom and democracy. The conventional narrative would have us believe that Ukraine is an Eastern European version of Denmark.”
Nothing could be further from the truth. “Ukraine,” the CATO report notes, “has long been one of the more corrupt countries in the international system. In its annual report published in January 2022, Transparency International ranked Ukraine 123rd of the 180 countries it examined, with a score of 32 on a one-to-100-point scale.”
'In a cage with a tiger': How locals in Taliban's Kabul adapt to the new reality. The obvious lack of contextual awareness which doomed the Afghanistan mission is very much an ongoing problem for the US when it comes to Ukraine. The failure to address the problem of corruption up front at a time when the US Congress is trying to rush through some $40 billion in appropriations seems to be little more than an instance of history repeating itself. The bill includes $11 billion in presidential drawdown authority funding that allows the White House to send military equipment and weapons directly from US stocks. It also provides for $6 billion in Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative funding, which can be used to buy weapons directly from contractors and then provide those weapons to Ukraine. On the surface, this would appear to be simply about weapons. However, buried in this funding is up to a billion dollars earmarked to pay the salaries and pensions of Ukrainian government workers and soldiers. This isn’t a one-time payment – the government of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has indicated that up to $7 billion per month will be needed to keep Ukraine functioning. While most US citizens might not blanch at the thought of their taxpayer dollars being used to underwrite Ukrainian soldiers and civil servants, the reality is that much of this money will be deployed to pay the salaries and pensions of ultra-right Ukrainian politicians and soldiers who espouse neo-Nazi ideology.
Context is everything. In the aftermath of embarrassing photographs showing US soldiers providing hands-on training to members of the neo-Nazi Azov Battalion, a former independent militia drawn from the ranks of Ukraine’s right-wing supporters of Stepan Bandera, a Ukrainian nationalist who fought alongside Nazi Germany during the Second World War, the US Congress, in June 2015, passed legislation that banned the training of Azov members by the US military, as well as any transfer of US weapons to Azov control.
“I am grateful that the House of Representatives unanimously passed my amendments last night to ensure that our military does not train members of the repulsive neo-Nazi Azov Battalion, along with my measures to keep the dangerous and easily trafficked MANPADs out of these unstable regions,” Representative John Conyers Jr., a Democrat from Michigan, remarked after the legislation was approved.
Within in a year, however, the Pentagon had lobbied the US Congress to remove Conyers’ amendment from the 2016 budget, claiming that the amendment was unnecessary in light of the existing Leahy Law, which prohibited funding to groups that have “committed a gross violation of human rights.” The problem, however, was that the US Congress had never formally designated the Azov Battalion as a group covered by the provisions of the Leahy Law. Accordingly, the US military was once again given the green light to train and equip Ukraine’s neo-Nazi military formations. Congress eventually woke up to the Pentagon’s end-around, and in 2018 reinserted the language of the 2015 Conyers amendment into the defense budget, stipulating that “none of the funds made available by this act may be used to provide arms, training or other assistance to the Azov Battalion.”
The Biden administration, together with the US Congress, seems content to ignore the restrictions imposed in 2018 – none of the current funds being allocated to Ukraine are hampered by any such restrictions. Underwriting the training, equipping, and sustainment of Ukraine’s neo-Nazi element is de rigueur for American politicians, it seems.
This would not be the case, however, if the mandate of SIGAR were expanded, as Senator Paul is demanding, to include the current Ukraine defense programs. The spectacle of the US Congress being confronted with an official report detailing how it has facilitated the use of US taxpayer dollars to underwrite neo-Nazi militancy in Ukraine, however, would not make for comfortable reading. Nor would the fact that this money was being handed over to Ukraine’s neo-Nazi element with little or no checks. Without an oversight group such as SIGAR, US taxpayers will have absolutely no idea how their hard-earned tax dollars are being spent.
This is why Senator Paul’s moment of compelled Senate-level deliberation will ultimately fail. Eager to be seen defending a supposedly free and democratic Ukraine, his fellow senators seem to have fallen victim to the same self-blinding urgency as their brethren in the House. But this is a view of Ukraine that exists only in the minds of lawmakers who once knew that using US taxpayer money to underwrite Ukrainian neo-Nazis was fundamentally wrong, but who have since fallen victim to politicized Russophobia. A SIGAR empowered to audit US taxpayer dollars spent in Ukraine would be politically inconvenient, and thus will never be allowed to exist.
While it seems unthinkable that the members of Congress could forget the lessons of Afghanistan so quickly when it comes to providing billions of dollars of poorly managed money to a deeply corrupt political regime in Ukraine, the reality is that the US has a history of providing military assistance to corrupt causes, all of which have failed to achieve their desired objectives.
This was not always the case. In March 1941, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt helped put meaning behind the phrase ‘the arsenal of democracy’ when describing the mobilization of American industry for the purpose of arming allies to defeat fascism. Under the so-called ‘Lend-Lease Act’, the US provided billions of dollars of military aid to the United Kingdom, Soviet Union, and China to defeat Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. The program’s impact was undeniable, and it played a critical role in enabling America’s wartime allies to survive and ultimately defeat the threat posed by a common foe.
However, since the end of the Second World War, the US has embarked on a series of misadventures where the ‘arsenal of democracy’ was engaged to support causes which, despite the infusion of American money and arms, ultimately failed. From 1961 until the fall of Saigon in April 1975, Washington spent more than $141 billion supporting the South Vietnamese government in its war against communism, including tens of billions of dollars’ worth of military equipment supplied as part of the so-called ‘Vietnamization’ program, which was designed to give the South Vietnamese military the ability to fight and win without direct US military assistance. When Saigon fell, it is estimated that North Vietnam captured some $5 billion in US military equipment, nearly half of which the North Vietnamese army was able to integrate into its force structure.
In the aftermath of the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq in 2003, the US spent some $25 billion rebuilding an Iraqi military capable of standing on its own two feet. And yet, less than three years after the US withdrew its combat forces from Iraq, the Iraqi army, in the summer of 2014, collapsed against the forces of the Islamic State, abandoning not only the city of Mosul and vast swaths of territory to the Islamist movement, but also billions of dollars of US military equipment, including heavy tanks and artillery. Similarly, between 2005 and 2021, the Afghan military received more than $18 billion worth of weapons from the US ‘arsenal of democracy’; but when the Afghan government collapsed in August 2021, more than $7 billion worth of advanced US military equipment fell into the hands of the Taliban.

What connects these three historical failures of American military assistance is the common theme of hubris-driven ambition, where the on-the-ground political realities were ignored by military professionals who placed all of their faith in the preeminence of US military equipment, doctrine, and training. In supporting a corrupt, ideologically unsavory government in Ukraine with billions of dollars of US military equipment, the Biden administration appears to be falling into the same trap as its predecessors who stoked the fires of US-supported conflict in South Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
By signing new ‘Lend-Lease Act’ legislation intended to fast-track US military assistance to Ukraine along the lines of the original act during the Second World War, the Biden administration ignores the lessons of history when it comes to providing military aid, namely that the cause being supported must be a just one. Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan were both odious regimes deserving of the justice that the allies meted out, armed in part by the ‘arsenal of democracy.’
Over time, the US has ignored the critical predicate of having a cause worthy of the sacrifice asked by those opposing it, focusing instead on sustaining through force of arms alone regimes which, in many ways, were more corrupt and unworthy of support than the forces they were arrayed against. (This is saying a lot, given that in two of these conflicts – Iraq and Afghanistan – the forces of the Islamic State and the Taliban would normally be easily classified as an enemy worth confronting.)
By supporting a Ukrainian military that has been thoroughly infiltrated by the odious ideology of neo-Nazism, the US is setting itself up for failure by once again aligning itself with a cause which, in the long run, is not worthy of the sacrifice being asked of those called upon to defend it. Allowing this military assistance to go forward devoid of the kind of mandated oversight that a SIGAR-like organization would provide all but assures that not only will US taxpayer dollars be squandered in a losing cause, but that any chance of detecting the shortcomings of the aid program early on and making the kind of critical policy adjustments necessary to stave off catastrophe will be lost.

American leaders and politicians are giving away US taxpayer money that we don’t have and give to useless, corrupt and unworthy countries. Enough is enough. Americans RISE UP to reject committing suicide and futile intervention of other nations. A REVOLUTION is needed to save America from its wrong leaders and politicians. Would it not be great if we have a revolution to revise the Constitution by putting the majority of American citizens in charge. The majority of American citizens can remove the president and its cabinets, remove the Congress, and even remove the U.S. Supreme Court if it does not obey the will of American citizens. There will be patriots in charge of the White House and the Congress. There will be no more war, no more American imperialism. The national debt will be reduced gradually. America will cancel all military and political alliances (including NATO and QUAD), and embrace Russia and China as equal partners in building a better world. All American overseas military bases will be shut down, all American troops will come home. America will focus on internal or national problems such as trade, economy, infrastructure, technology, environment, education, gun control, employment, foreign exchange, international cooperation in fighting GLOBAL inflation, poverty, food shortage, public health, pandemic, climate change, etc.
There will be massive reduction in Defense, State, homeland security, and federal bureaucracy. The two parties that do not serve the national interest will be abolished. The regulators that protect the regulated industries will be overhauled, reprimanded and replaced once and for all. America will be a respectable Republic, international law abiding, peaceful and prosperous. Only educated and highly qualified immigrants will be accepted. There will be no political asylums and economic immigrants. The borders will be secure. It will be a multilateral free world, each nation may choose its political and economic system and focus on its own development. No alliance will pit one group against another group. No more development of nuclear and weapons of mass destruction. The United Nations will be moved out to a neutral location where all members will not have visa problems. The UN really and independently can serve peace and prosperity for all nations. The international cooperation will be so good and tight that Islamic terrorists have no place to hide and no room to breathe that eventually they are totally eliminated from the earth. No aid will be given to TALIBAN.
Europe, America, and Japan will work diligently to pay reparations and compensations to families of victims committed in past war crimes, genocide, sex slavery, forced labor, and all sorts of atrocities and brutalities. The poor and oppressed peoples in the world will begin to see a brave and just new world.
V. DECEPTION AND LIES
Deception is closely related to lies. Lies are the means, deception is the motive. The motive of deception and the means through lies work together to deceive people.

I am in great despair because not only the Republican Party does not have any politician who expresses such views, no one in Democratic Party too. There are still millions of Americans who do not realize America is committing suicide! America is heading for doom and destruction!!!

You know the devil can deceive you. False prophets and false teachers deceive people. Wealth can deceive you. Philosophy or ideology can deceive you. Smooth and flattering speech can deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting. Persuasive arguments and sleek propaganda of Western media deceive many. Deceitful workers can deceive you. But do you know, you can deceive yourself? God says, do not deceive yourselves. Western leaders and politicians have known the Word of God, they deceive themselves because they do not prove themselves to be doers of the Word.

I agree with Aiden Wilson Tozer in saying, “Of all forms of deception self-deception is the most deadly, and of all deceived persons the self-deceived are the least likely to discover the fraud.”
It was Paul Samuelson who said, “Self-deception ultimately explains Japan's plight. The Japanese have never accepted that change is in their interest - and not merely a response to U.S. criticism.” Japanese leaders and country deny genocide of 35 million Chinese, millions of forced labor, and thousands of sex slavery they called “comfort women” who are dying out. Japan never paid a penny for its war crimes, genocide and atrocities.
V. ALLIANCE OF DECEPTION
Dan 11:23, “After an alliance is made with him he will practice deception, and he will go up and gain power with a small force of people.”
Alliance in Hebrew is ḥāḇar which means joining together; forming a league; binding in a compact; making allies; making an alliance by treaty; - which occurs 29 times in the Old Testament.
Deception in Hebrew is mirmâ which means deceit; guile; craft; treachery; falsehood; fraud; trick; - which occurs 39 times in the Old Testament.
The United States has two alliances of deception in the world: one is in Europe, including EU, NATO, UK, GANG-7, CANADA. The European alliance is aimed to weaken and destroy Russia. EU, NATO, UK, GANG-7 AND CANADA are nothing but extension and expansion of American empire. They exist as American military agents in Europe with sole purpose in destroying Russia so that America may dominate the world.
The other American alliance of deception is in Asia, called QUAD which is not as firm as NATO in Europe. In the first place it is not clear whether India wants to be subjected to American hegemony, for India in the past has prided itself as independent. The other QUAD members include Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea. The U.S. wants to seduce ASEAN Countries to be part of the QUAD. But some ASEAN Countries like Singapore, Cambodia, etc. already expressed that they do not want to be forced to choose between America and China. Mind you the sole purpose of QUAD is to weaken and destroy China in Asia, as NATO and EU to weaken and destroy Russia in Europe. The U.S. wants to use Japan as its attack dog in Asia and provide all kinds of military and political incentives. Japan has ulterior motive that solicits American support. Japan is an unconditional surrender war crime nation which has never fulfilled its requirements. Japan denies genocide of 35 million Chinese, millions of forced labor, and thousands of sex slavery which they call “comfort women” who are dying out. America never condemns Japan for failing to pay reparations and compensations for its war crimes and genocide.
America does not condemn Japan for dumping nuclear waste water into the Pacific. Japan wants American support to be the first war crime nation to be a permanent member of The United Nations Security Council (UNSC). America armed and equipped the resurgent Japanese militarist. Most Japanese citizens do not want American military bases in Japan, and oppose the high cost of American protection fees, but the government of Japan is doing against the will of its people. Japanese people do not want Japan to join QUAD to war against China.
The leadership of South Korea is another case of nincompoop. South Koreans also do not like American military bases, including high protection fees. If and when the leaders and politicians of South Korea get wise, they can simply tell American troops to go home, and use the high protection fees to give to North Korea for development. It is like hitting two birds with one stone: North Korea will have no reason to attack South Korea and has the means for its national development. The two sides were original one nation, American divided them. One day the can reconcile and reunify themselves without outside agitation and obstruction.
America has abused and oppressed China since the infamous Opium Wars. Europeans and Americans robbed and looted China national treasures, priceless antiques and national relics amount to US$100,000 trillion not counting many years of interest. Most of them are on display in European, American and Japanese public and private museums. Since 1949 the U.S. has by force taken Taiwan as a de facto colony. In the past all American presidents acknowledged that Taiwan is a part of China. The current president is the only one that declare he would defend Taiwan by military. It is like you robbed and raped a neighbor’s girl for a long time. Now the neighbor demands return of the girl, you said you would fight to keep the woman.
America sets up alliances of deception in Europe and Asia in order to rule the world by force and to dominate the world by all means, nuclear power, military might, economic power, financial monopoly, diplomatic dictatorship, technological supremacy, trade sanctions and high tariffs. As the things set up, the alliances of deception of the Axis of Evil may trigger nuclear war in Ukraine, or Taiwan. 70% of Americans do not want war, but they are helpless. The U.S. Constitution does not vest national sovereignty on American citizens. There is no practice of National Referendum to decide and determine the direction of America and vital issues. America is practicing a phony democracy where 1 percent of population rules over the 99 percent and owns most of the wealth and power.
My strategic suggestion is for China to liberate Taiwan as soon as possible. By taking a few shrewd military steps, in a surprised attack, China can liberate Taiwan in 3 hours. After liberation, the Chinese all over the world demand Traitors in Taiwan to be executed in public. Hong Kong government also can use sedition and treason laws to execute the traitors in Hong Kong who conspired with foreign governments to overthrow Hong Kong government.

VI. DECEPTION EMPLOYS VIOLENCE
Hos 4:2, “There is swearing, deception, murder,
stealing and adultery. They employ violence, so that bloodshed follows bloodshed.”
Fraud and force often go together. If you study the history of Western powers, you discover bloodshed follows bloodshed. It simply means the West did not have good ideas that the peoples of the world may willingly accept. Western imperialists and colonialists employed violence to subdue the colonies. In every instance, bloodshed followed bloodshed. How the West oppressed China by force from the infamous Opium Wars to the present. Since 1949 America had taken Taiwan by force. The current Ukraine war is sustained by Western nations that gave large sum of money, heavy weapons, and military equipment to prolong the war against Russia. They never questioned why NATO had to expand to destroy Russia, and why America had to dominate the world? Enslavement. Exploitation. Discrimination. Violence. Forced removal. Genocide.
Despite inhabiting California for thousands of years, Native Americans faced all of this and more at the hands of California’s white settlers and the state’s government itself. Now, California governor Gavin Newsom has made a first-of-its-kind apology to the state’s Native peoples.
“It’s called a genocide. That’s what it was. A genocide. [There’s] no other way to describe it and that’s the way it needs to be described in the history books,” Newsom said at a blessing ceremony for a Native American heritage center. “And so I’m here to say the following: I’m sorry on behalf of the state of California.”
Up to 16,000 Native Californians died in the genocide, which took place from the 1840s through the 1870s. Most of the deaths occurred during hundreds of massacres during which state and local militias encircled and murdered Native peoples. The genocide was facilitated by discriminatory California laws and the outright support of state officials and Federal authorities who condoned and supported the attacks.

The apology comes in the wake of centuries of mistreatment of Native Californians. Before white settlement, at least 80 languages were spoken by a variety of Native peoples in what is now California. Animosity toward Native Californians predates the state; during California’s tenure as a Mexican province from 1804 to 1848, Spanish missionaries seized Native lands and pressured them into living in and laboring for missions. Epidemics wiped out tens of thousands.

Once California was handed over to the United States at the end of the Mexican American War, things became even worse for the new state’s Native population. The man who discovered gold at Sutter’s Mill was led to the precious metal by Native people under the control of John Sutter. But despite making the Gold Rush possible, the state’s Native peoples were enslaved, displaced and discriminated against.
Indeed, the very foundation of the state was built on a foundation of hatred against Native Americans. At his second State of the State Address, the state’s first governor, Peter Hardenman Burnett, referred to “the Indian foe” and called Native people robbers and savages. “That a war of extermination will continue to be waged between the races until the Indian race becomes extinct must be expected,” he said.

Burnett was not the only new Californian who viewed Native Americans with suspicion and enmity. The state’s first legislative session gave white settlers the ability to take custody of Native children, arrest Native peoples at will and enslave them for petty “crimes.” Bolstered by bounties and weapons provided by the U.S. Army, state and local militias began massacring Native Americans outright. About 16,000 Native Californians died in the genocide. Meanwhile, the state’s Native population, which had already fallen dramatically during Spanish colonization, dwindled to just 30,000 from around 150,000 before statehood.
Discrimination persisted long past state-sponsored genocide. Tens of thousands of other Native Californians were affected by discriminatory laws and policies. Native Californian children were forced to assimilate into white culture and attend “Indian assimilation schools” like the Sherman Indian School in Riverside, CA. There, they were forbidden to speak their languages or take part in tribal ceremonies. And though Native peoples resisted discrimination and fought for civil rights, federal recognition and the right to have gaming operations on their reservations through the 21st century, poverty, health disparities and limited opportunities were, and still are, common.
Today, California has the most people with Native American heritage in the nation; 109 federally recognized tribes call the state home, and another 78 tribes are petitioning for recognition. Despite the state’s legacy of discrimination and hatred, “California Native Americans resisted, survived and carried on cultural and linguistic traditions defying all odds,” the governor’s office notes in a press release.
Newsom is not the first official to apologize for a government’s mistreatment of Native Americans. In 2009, the United States apologized to Native peoples for “violence, maltreatment, and neglect.” But the apology did not include an admission of liability, and then-President Barack Obama did not publicly acknowledge it.
The executive order includes similar language to the United States’ apology. But it goes one step further: Newsom also established a “truth and healing council” to provide Native perspectives on the historical record. The council will include tribal representatives and others and issue a report on the historical relationships between Native Californians and the state of California.”
It is high time for the government of California to give an admission of liability, and starts paying compensation to the descendants and children of Native Americans who were killed by genocide.

Before the War of 1812, Odawa culture and customs went through changes that were, for the most part, voluntary by the tribe. Various Odawa families would adopt Christianity and western values; others would not.
Dress was chosen by function and preference, many times mixing traditional materials with European and American goods. Men still wore their hair in the fashion of warriors, along with piercings, tattoos and body paintings. Women and extended family were the primary care givers in the villages. Anishnaabamowin was spoken by the vast majority of Odawa at Little Traverse. All of these characteristics changed rapidly after the War of 1812. One mechanism that greatly accelerated these changes was boarding schools.
The first mission school at Little Traverse was built in 1829 and was a collaboration of the local Odawa and missionaries. During the next two decades, Catholic schools would be built at Cross Village, Middle Village and Burt Lake. In 1887 Indian education became dictated under federal standards which included the boarding school system. Odawa children, along with all Indian children across the United States, would be subject to some of the most intense assimilation in American history. Odawa children at the boarding schools would not be permitted to speak their native language or to participate in ceremonies or cultural activities. Severe punishment was administered when rules were broken. Prolonged stays at the school were common, sometimes years on end. The long absence from family and community, in conjunction with the strict rules of the school, resulted in a loss of language, culture and history for the tribe. The Holy Childhood boarding school in Harbor Springs opened in 1889 and ceased operation in 1983.
In the words of the founder of the American boarding schools Richard Pratt, “that all the Indian there is in the race should be dead. Kill the Indian in him and save the man.” What Pratt and others did not count on were the powerful bonds that would form at boarding schools and the fact that Indian culture would manage to survive.”

Hunger. Starvation. Beatings. Ill-clothed in the cold of winter. Forbidden to speak their Native tongues. Sexual predators roaming the dormitory halls in the middle of the night like wild animals searching for prey and snatching youngsters from their beds. Such was the lot of thousands of Indigenous children in the heyday of the Indian boarding school era which stretched from the 1870s to the 1960s in the United States and Canada.
The finding of almost 2,000 unmarked graves so far at former residential school sites in Canada is just the tip of the iceberg for the thousands more surely to be located in that country and in similar searches in the United States. Some of the graves found in Canada were of children as young as 3-years-old.
U.S. capitalism, in its drive to exploit the natural resources of the country, conducted bloody wars of extermination against the land’s Indigenous peoples, and in the late 19th century, it continued the genocide by the elimination of Indigenous children, culturally and literally. Canada rapidly and assiduously followed suit.
In May, a total of over 1,400 unmarked graves were found at the sites of four former Indian residential schools by Canadian First Nations conducting
ground penetrating radar searches. These residential schools were government-sponsored religious institutions ostensibly created for the forced assimilation of Native children into white society. The discovery of the graves reverberated across the globe. Canada had been pursuing a truth and reconciliation process since 2007, at the behest of the First Nations, and the finding of the unmarked graves of children is one result of the process.
The forced assimilation of the children of an oppressed people into an oppressor culture had never before happened in world history. There were 139 of these cultural extermination schools in Canada operating from the 1870s all the way into the 1990s. An estimated 150,000 Native children were forcibly taken from their families during this time span and held in these schools. Of this number, it is estimated that 10,000 to 25,000 children, including toddlers, perished in Canada. In the U.S., there are already estimates that as many as 40,000 died in these so-called schools.
The Canadian schools were modeled on those in the U.S. The white mainstream establishments in both countries at the time felt this was the best solution to deal with their so-called “Indian problem.” The previous policy had been one of outright extermination.
In the United States, there was a similar, but much, much larger system of boarding schools operating under the label of “Indian Industrial Schools.” In these schools, the children performed heavy unpaid manual labor in the homes of white families called “outing programs” in the summer. At other times, they were engaged in performing manual labor at the schools. So where was the education?
There is hardly a day that goes by that online news does not print another story of the unmarked graves found in Canada or of related efforts being pursued in the U.S. On August 11, it was reported that the American Bar Association at its annual meeting of August 9 voted in favor of a resolution supporting the Department of the Interior in its efforts to investigate the atrocious history of the Indian boarding schools.”

This ignominious history included children being severely beaten for the slightest infraction, such as speaking their Native languages. The children were shorn of their long hair, traditional clothing, and personal belongings. Some children resisted, nonetheless. My grandmother told of her mother speaking of her Oklahoma boarding school experience and of young Indian boys cutting the seats out of their pants and putting on breechcloths. Others simply ran away, communicated secretly, or would take the blame for a younger child’s misconduct or disobedience.
The schools were not just institutions of “cultural genocide” but of literal, veritable genocide because of the large numbers of children who lost their lives at these institutions due to abuse, malnutrition, starvation, neglect, inadequate medical, care, and disease. The lives of Indigenous students were not valued. Consider, too, how many descendants these children would have had if they survived and the population loss incurred because they did not live beyond their childhood. Again, it is estimated that 10,000 to 25,000 children lost their lives in the hideous Canadian residential schools. This was genocide!
Canadian discoveries prompting U.S. searches
Prompted by the finding of hundreds of unmarked graves in Canada by Indigenous nations, Native American Cabinet Secretary Deb Haaland on June 22 took the unprecedented but much celebrated step of authorizing a Federal Indian Boarding School Initiative to determine if there are similar gruesome and tragic discoveries to be made in the U.S. The likelihood of such findings in this country is more than probable, as the U.S. Indian Boarding School system was much more extensive than the Canadian model. The report on the Initiative is due on April 1, 2022.
In Canada, the Indian Residential Schools from their beginnings were institutions overrun with sexual predators preying on the children. Reportedly, the Canadian students were kept constantly hungry and beaten into obedience, an arrangement which provided a fertile field for more abuse. Of the 150,000 Native children taken to these hellholes, a horrifyingly and shockingly huge proportion were the victims of rape and molestation by principals, teachers, dormitory supervisors, and even maintenance workers and janitors. This was monstrous.
In many schools, an astonishing 70% of students might have been subjected to sexual abuse. Incredibly and disgracefully, few of the system’s predators have been doled out even token punishments for terrorizing generations of Native children. Those who are still alive must be apprehended and punished in the same way Nazi concentration camp guards and killers are hunted down and punished.
History of the U.S. Indian Boarding School system
Beginning in 1819, with passage of the Indian Civilization Act, the U.S. ostensibly promoted the so-called “civilization” of American Indians by the creation of boarding schools that sanctioned the wholesale abduction—the kidnapping—of children from their families. In the latter years of the 19th century, U.S. soldiers were sent to abduct the children, and many were removed in handcuffs.

The best known of these institutions was Carlisle Indian Industrial School in Pennsylvania. Between 1879 and 1918, over 10,000 children from 140 nations attended Carlisle. Of this number, over 1,800 children ran away from the institution, and nearly 500 died during its existence. The school was founded by Gen. Richard Pratt in 1879, just three years after Custer’s annihilation by Native forces at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in June 1876. This would seem to be no coincidence. In 1885, the Commissioner of Indian Affairs Hiram Price said, “It is cheaper to give them education than to fight them.”
Countless Native families have memories of relatives who literally disappeared after entering the “genocide schools.” In the U.S., it is still unknown how many Indigenous children attended, died, or went missing from the boarding schools.
The sordid history of the U.S. effort to bring Native children into boarding schools is, quite frankly, staggering. The National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition (NABS) has confirmed that by 1900, there were 20,000 Native children in boarding schools. At that time, the term “The Vanishing American” entered the U.S. vernacular.
By 1925, there were over 60,000 Native children in these institutions of terror, representing 83% of all Indigenous progeny. Mainstream society thought that American Indians were rapidly marching to extinction both culturally and literally. In fact, in the 1930s, federal officials expressed surprise in government documents that Native Americans had survived at all.
The number of boarding schools was staggering. NABS has confirmed that in 1926 there were 367 of these schools in 29 states. Of this number, records have been found for only 38%. Moreover, it has been estimated there were, in fact, 500 of these heinous institutions spread across the county, but records are scanty as there were both government- and church-operated boarding schools.
Presently, the true number of children who were brutally abducted from their families and taken to these schools is not known. Indigenous families engaged in widespread resistance, a most notable case being that of the Hopi parents who opposed the removal of their children to boarding schools. For this “offense,” 19 Hopi men were sent to Alcatraz prison for a year.
Indian Boarding Schools were an anomaly in world history
Nowhere else in the history of humanity has the wholesale abduction, kidnapping, and imprisonment of the children of a people who are taken thousands of miles from home and held in these veritable prisons, subjected to sexual atrocities, and physical abuse, found other than in Canada and the United States.
Further, this was done, hypocritically, under the guise of education. This was done to diffuse a sense of hopelessness and helplessness throughout Indigenous communities. The children were held as hostages. This was done to impress upon Native people the utter power, cruelty, and ruthlessness of the capitalist governments. That which is most precious to any people are its children, and to have them summarily taken away was another racist attempt to extinguish an entire people. This type of genocide has happened to no other people on the face of the earth.
But the survival of the Indigenous in Canada and the U.S. bespoke of the tremendous resilience and strength of Native parents and the children who survived in the face of some of the most horrific oppression in the annals of humanity. Nowhere else in history has the wholesale abduction of the progeny of an oppressed people been witnessed.
The schools were replete with sexual, physical, and cultural abuse. Their legacy is one of intergenerational trauma extant to this very day. In some schools, no crying or laughing was allowed. The granddaughter of one boarding school survivor recalls her grandmother recounting that she was always hungry and always cold. Another survivor recalls fellow schoolmates being taken out of their dormitory beds in the middle of the night and never seen again. In the Canadian model, the schools were replete with sexual molestation of both boys and girls. Stories abound of young Native girls giving birth to babies that were thrown into incinerators.
Both the Canadian and U.S. institutions were schools of genocide. In fact, the motto of the Carlisle School was “Kill the Indian, save the man.” Various shameful practices were used to procure children for these genocide schools, the most vexing being the cutoff of rations to reservation families until the children were produced to be sent away.
In reference to the church-run schools, there was a widespread belief in Euro-American society that if Indians could be converted to Christianity, they would no longer fight being dispossessed of their land. It was thought Indians would look to salvation in an afterlife—“the pie in the sky”—and not be concerned with earthly oppression.
The call for justice must continue
This column, along with countless others, is just the beginning of the monumental process of finding out what happened in the U.S, to thousands upon thousands of children in the hellish throes of these institutions of medieval horror. There needs to be truth, justice, and reconciliation—with the emphasis first on truth and justice. Punishment must be heavily meted out to all guilty parties. This is just the beginning, as the Native communities will appropriately deal with what must be done. There can be no healing or reconciliation without first truth and justice or a parallel path to healing and reconciliation.
As this journey into the inner sanctums of historic tragedy continues, there will be discoveries made that will shock the conscience which shall be duly reported. In the U.S., there has never been an official count of how many students died in what has been described by one survivor as “hell schools.”
What happened at these repositories of terror were gross human rights violations that could arguably be subsequently brought before the United Nations. (Furthermore, the abduction and abuse of Indigenous children continued well into the 20th century bringing about the passage of the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA). Moreover, this was carried into the 21st century with the abduction of Native children by the state of South Dakota).
What is inspiring and worthy of endless praise is that these courageous children who survived, not only survived, but left their homes as INDIANS and returned as still INDIANS. As Deb Haaland said recently, “Clearly, the cultural genocide part didn’t work, because we’re still here.” Their incomparable heroism can never be forgotten and is a source of constant pride in the face of what they endured—the most adverse racist circumstances and perversion. They came home wounded and battle scarred, but still Indigenous. They returned, as my grandmother said, not as “brown-skinned white folks.”
Moreover, those who never returned home must never be forgotten and must be forever honored.
“The whole residential school system was meant to destroy an entire people,” a Native American advocate said recently. But the heroic resistance of the children, even while in captivity, stopped the assimilation process. The culture and people live on.
But what also can never be forgotten is the quest for justice, the quest for punishment responsibility, and accountability for the unspeakable atrocities that took place within the walls of these institutions of horror.

Schools of Horror: Mistreatment and Murder of Indigenous Children in Canada
The Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc revealed in a press statement on May 27, 2021, that they had used ground penetrating radar to confirm the bodies of 215 children—the youngest 3 years old—in a mass gravesite at the Kamloops Indian Residential School located in Kamloops, BC, Canada.
The Kamloops Indian Residential School was in operation from 1890 to 1969, when the federal government took over administration from the Catholic Church to operate it as a residence for a day school, until closing in 1978… Up to 500 students would have been registered at the school, according to the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR). Those children would have come from First Nations communities across B.C. and beyond.

Across the country, a deep feeling of grief, anger and sorrow resonated over social media and beyond, as the news hit home to Indigenous Peoples. People placed 215 shoes as memorials, organized vigils, wrote poetry, ran in commemoration, light sacred fires, and created art to honor our lost children. As people began reacting, a new wave of calls re-emerged for the Government of Canada to name the treatment of Indigenous Peoples by the state as genocide.
Calls for Investigation Were Ignored
These residential schools were in existence before Canada was a country. According to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), there were 139 residential schools and residences that were attended by more than 150,000 Indigenous children, and were in operation until the late 1990s. This number does not include schools ran by the provinces, or schools run solely by religious orders that did not receive federal funding.
To be clear, the children that attended were forcibly removed from their families by law, which was enforced by the local Indian Agents and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). They were subject to horrific abuses including sterilization, starvation, medical testing, and spiritual, physical and sexual abuse. Some of the children taken were young as 3 years old. Many of the churches (Roman Catholic, Anglican, United, Methodist and Presbyterian) responsible for administering the schools did not keep accurate records. Of those churches that did, their records have still not been made public, despite the TRC process and numerous requests. The TRC’s Missing Child Project estimates that 4,100 children died of disease or accident while attending the 139 schools. However, due to poor record keeping, that number could be higher.
We do know that there were calls at the time for numerous RCMP investigations into allegations of abuse, which never happened. To date, no one has ever been prosecuted for the deaths and abuse of any of the children that attended the Indian Residential Schools. The parents of the missing children were not contacted by the schools or the RCMP; some still do not know what happened to their children that never returned home.
A Strategic Part of Colonial Settlement
The residential school system was a strategic part of the colonial settlement of Canada—a clearing of the land for incoming settlers so that Canada could rid itself of the “Indian problem.” The residential schools at the time were not subject to national policy or procedures, full control was administered by the churches that ran the schools. Indigenous Peoples went from having full access and freedom on our territories to 0.2% control of land in Canada.
For over a century, the central goals of Canada’s Aboriginal policy were to eliminate Aboriginal governments; ignore Aboriginal rights; terminate the Treaties; and, through a process of assimilation, cause Aboriginal peoples to cease to exist as distinct legal, social, cultural, religious, and racial entities in Canada. In the reactions to the discovery of the mass gravesite at the Kamloops Indian Residential School, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been quoted as saying, “This tragic discovery is a stark reminder of our duty to heal the wounds from this horrific part of our history.”
However, it has been hard for many Indigenous people to reconcile with that statement, myself included. For Indigenous Peoples this is not something in the past; it is our present and it is intergenerational. My younger sisters attended one of the last remaining residential schools in the country in Saskatchewan. Kivalliq Hall in Rankin Inlet, in what’s now Nunavut, was the last residential school to close in 1997. The residential school in my maternal grandmother’s community is still standing. We are still dealing with the impacts of over 160 years of residential schools.
The hardest part for Indigenous Peoples is knowing how much the Canadian government has fought us. The creation of the TRC came after residential school survivors sued the federal government, which was negotiated into becoming the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement (IRSSA). In order to be a claimant in the IRSSA, you had to file and recount your abuse, which was then corroborated with other survivors—if the survivors were “lucky.” However, many did not meet the criteria of the IRSSA, had their claims denied, or the process was too traumatizing to engage in. A literal price was established for the abuse survivors endured, and they were given a compensation cheque.
A Compensation Cheque Is Not Justice
For many survivors, this process forced them to relive the trauma and pain they experienced as children. I wrote my dad’s claim for the IRSSA, and it was triggering for me as his child. I can only imagine what that was like for survivors. Some, like one of my friends, had to attend hearings and recount their story on record. This process did so much damage to many of my relatives and friends.
Many non-Indigenous people I meet consider this process to be reparations. How is that possible? Considering that Indigenous Peoples were not at the decision-making table, we had no power over what reparations would look like for us and our communities. Receiving a compensation cheque was not justice for the survivors. It never will be.
Going back to this idea of “a part of our history,” as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated, the reason that many Indigenous Peoples can’t accept his statement is our current reality. Residential schools aren’t ancient history. My nieces and nephews are the first generation in my family to not attend a residential school. In the 1960s and 1970s large numbers of First Nations children were adopted out to non-First Nations homes known as “the 60/70s scoop.” They were given no connection to who they were or where they came from. Many suffered abuse and neglect. Some were adopted out to other countries as far away as the US and Europe. As with the Residential Schools process, survivors of this so-called “scoop” sued Canada and formed a class action lawsuit that is still ongoing.
Between 1951 and 1991, First Nation and Inuit children were taken into care and placed with non-Indigenous parents where they were not raised in accordance with their cultural traditions nor taught their traditional languages. This dark chapter in Canada’s history is commonly referred to as the ‘Sixties Scoop.’ The Class Action argues that those affected by the Sixties Scoop suffered significant harms as a result of these practices–specifically the loss of their cultural identity.
The legacy of the residential schools continues in the child welfare system: there are currently more Indigenous children in state care than ever attended residential schools. Between 1995 and 2001, the number of First Nations children placed in child welfare care on reserve increased by 71.5%.”
Focusing on First Nations Families
Cindy Blackstock has become a national hero for advocating for the rights of Indigenous Children in Canada. Her work helped create Jordan’s Principle, a child-first principle calling on the government to ensure all First Nations children can access public services on the same terms as other children.
Jordan River Anderson was a First Nations child from Norway Cree House Nation in Manitoba. Born in 1999 with complex medical needs that could not be treated on-reserve, he spent more than two years in a hospital in Winnipeg before doctors agreed that he could leave the hospital to be cared for in a family home. However, because of jurisdictional disputes within and between the federal and provincial governments over who would pay costs for in-home care, Jordan spent over two more years in hospital unnecessarily before he tragically died in 2005. He was 5 years old and had never spent a day in a family home.
First Nations Child & Family Caring Society of Canada
Indigenous children have been neglected and abused by the state of Canada since its inception. It took taking Jordan’s Principle to the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal for Canada to be held responsible for discrimination, adverse impacts, gross underfunding, and service gaps of the First Nations Child and Family Services (FNCFS – the on-reserve child welfare agency run by the Canadian department of Indian Affairs). This included incentivizing the removal of First Nations children from their families and communities.
To date, the Canadian government has been fighting the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal’s findings in court. Very few of the requirements set out by the Tribunal have yet to be met fully.
A Call to Action
Indigenous women, girls and Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning people – 2SLGBTQQIA – go missing more than any other group in Canada. The National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIW) in its final report, “Reclaiming Power and Place: The Final Report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls,” made 231 calls to action. To date, the Canadian government has yet to implement its action plan due to the COVID-19 pandemic (or so they say). However, the pandemic is making conditions for Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA worse.
For many decades now, there have been Inquiries, and Commissions that have produced recommendations to address the structural racism and colonial policies which have been impacting Indigenous Peoples since Canada has existed. These include the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples (RCAP) that in 1991 was mandated to create recommendations to improve the relationship between Canada and Aboriginal Peoples. RCAP submitted its final report in 1996 with 440 recommendations:
If one theme dominates our recommendations, it is that Aboriginal peoples must have room to exercise their autonomy and structure their own solutions. The pattern of debilitating and discriminatory paternalism that has characterized federal policy for the past 150 years must end. Aboriginal people cannot flourish if they are treated as wards, incapable of controlling their own destiny.

However, Canada has yet to implement many of the deep structural changes necessary to stop the violence it inflicts on Indigenous Peoples as a whole.
There have been many legal attempts to hold Canada accountable for the rights of Indigenous Peoples it has continuously violated. According to an Aboriginal Peoples Television Network article, the Trudeau government has spent almost 100 million CAD fighting Indigenous Peoples in court. The Canadian government has said it will spend 2.2 billion CAD to address the root causes of MMIW, but has not released any concrete timeline or action plan for spending that money.
Time and time again, Indigenous Peoples have won Supreme Court challenges against the government. But the rights we have as Indigenous Peoples to even exist on what is remaining of our own lands are continually violated. Our children, our most precious resource, continue to be taken away from us at alarming rates. In every facet of Indigenous life, we are fighting to hold onto our lives.
There are many dark chapters in history of European nations in particular UK, GERMANY, FRANCE and also AMERICA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, etc. who committed genocide with certainty and without doubt. There is no use to rewrite revisionist history. IT is high time these nations (all White) to admit their crimes and liabilities by starting to pay compensations and reparations to the descendants and children of the victims. You know there all stood out the white supremacy and racial hatred of these nations who claim to be Christian.
The genocide and atrocities committed by the pagan Japanese are another issues. The unconditional surrendered war crime nation of Japan never fulfilled their agreements and obligations. They even deny their genocide of 35 million Chinese, millions of forced labor, and thousands of sex slavery which they called “comfort women” who are dying out.
It has been tireless advocates like Cindy Blackstock who have made a difference for Indigenous Peoples. It is the community organizers, land defenders, the Indigenous social workers, after school program workers, teachers, the community watch patrols like Bear Clan, language speakers, social service organizations, ceremonial leaders, water protectors, knowledge keepers, and First Nations communities that have been responsible for the healing happening in our communities. It is those people working tirelessly in the background upholding our communities that are the ones creating change. Oftentimes, these grassroots leaders are women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA people.
Fighting the Canadian Legacy of Genocide
As the days go by, we all have been digesting the meaning of mass gravesites that continue to be uncovered. To date just over 1,300 children have been found, however as testing continues, this number will continue to climb. We knew the stories of the horrors, much of which has been documented through the TRC process, but it doesn’t make the uncovering of mass graves of our relatives, any easier. We cry for those babies that did not make it home and died alone. It is the deepest collective sorrow we are enduring. The children buried in these graves represent the horror of being Indigenous in Canada. Many people and communities have held ceremonies not only for the lost children, but for our future generations, hoping that this will be the end of the legacy of residential schools.
My older brother and I are “60/70’s scoop” survivors. My mom’s generation and those before her went to residential schools. Many of my brothers and sisters were in and out of child welfare systems. One of my uncles was murdered, as was one of my little sister’s best friends. The Canadian legacy of genocide has affected every one of my family members, every last one.
In spite of everything that has happened, I am proud for my relatives’ healing. For not giving up. For our communities to be open, honest and vulnerable as we hurt for these children. For their parents and grandparents who never knew what happened to them. I am proud that my relatives are working hard to be the parents our ancestors never got to be and to see new generations rise up that are stronger, smarter and better than we are.
Alongside Indigenous Peoples, we must continue to call the treatment of Indigenous Peoples in Canada genocide. It is critical to continue to pressure Canada on the world stage to uphold the rights of Indigenous Peoples for future generations. Maybe if Canada had implemented the recommendations from RCAP, MMIW, TRC and so many other processes that Indigenous Peoples have engaged in to seek justice we would not be in the place we are now.
As many survivors have advocated for, an apology from the Pope and releasing of the many church residential school records could go a long way toward reconciliation, remedy and healing – including implementing the 94 TRC calls to action. Prosecution of those that harmed Indigenous children is critical, since residential schools are not in our distant history, as many of these perpetrators are still alive, well and protected: unlike the 215 children buried at Kamloops Indian Residential School. If we are truly to have reparations from the state, Indigenous Peoples need to decide the terms in which we meet with the Canadian government: Nation to Nation.
Finally, I think it speaks volumes that our people, despite all the atrocities and acts of genocide, continue to carry hope. We do not seek revenge or wish what happened to us to happen to any future generations. Through our collective grief, we know change is coming.

I am afraid now Africa has a new trick called development. Those nations who promise financial support of African development will be bitter and big losers.
VII. DECEPTION MADE A PACT WITH HELL
It was curiously corrupt not only spurious about the statement that someone said something so distortedly about Russia, “It shouldn't surprise any American to know that Russia uses its money and its intelligence services to spread disinformation, use subterfuge and deception and manipulation, to try to divide political opinion within the United States, within any Western European country, or among NATO countries. That's one of the techniques that Russia has used for decades, during the Cold War and during the Putin era.”
There are still people who shut their eyes about Ukraine and what America is doing through NATO there. That is exactly what can be described as deception made a pact with Hell. Evildoers have no shame to pervert justice and distort historical facts and trample on the truth.
Here was a man, Marcus Aurelius, who refused to make a deception pact with hell in saying, “If someone is able to show me that what I think or do is not right, I will happily change, for I seek the truth, by which no one ever was truly harmed. Harmed is the person who continues in his self-deception and ignorance.”
There are people who are not exactly ignorant, but their self-deception is fatal and terminal that they would call black white, white black.
Isa 5:20-23, “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight!
Woe to those who are heroes in drinking wine,
And valiant men in mixing intoxicating drink,
Who declare the wicked innocent for a bribe,
And take away the rights of the ones who are in the right!”
You know Western leaders and politicians and Western journalists are actually those who are cited in the Scriptures above. I do not waste my time on them. Undoubtedly, the West through deception has made a pact with Hell. I do not know who Major Owens was but I agree with what he said, “It's a sad day when the leaders of the free world engage in such deception and trickery. I voted against this unnecessary war and will continue to argue that the best way to support our troops is to bring them home.”
If 70% of Americans have their way, they would stop any war, close all overseas American military bases, and to bring our troops home.
I do not know who Georges Bernanos was but I agree with what he said, “The first sign of corruption in a society that is still alive is that the end justifies the means.”
Western leaders and politicians are so deluded and illude that they believe in Russia threat and China threat, and for that reason they are corrupted to believe the end justifies the means and that they are allowed to do all evil deeds to destroy Russia and China.
I agree with Hugo Black in saying, “The Government's power to censor the press was abolished so that the press would remain forever free to censure the Government. The press was protected so that it could bare the secrets of government and inform the people. Only a free and unrestrained press can effectively expose deception in government.”
I wish American leaders are like Hugo Black. A free and unrestrained press to expose deception in government, as far as I know, does not exists anymore in America, also in the world.
The world-wide and tangled web the West has woven to deceive the world has been most elaborate.

I believe Western leaders and politicians are exactly practicing this kind of philosophy. This lost religious leader seemed never read what Jesus says, Luk 6:27-28, “But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who are abusive to you.”
I am not a Sovietologist or Russian scholar, I cannot speak for Russia. But I can tell you the history of China is full of abuses and mistreatments of Europe and America. Even today America robs China of Taiwan. So I can honestly tell you China has done nothing wrong to America or Europe, America and Europe have done tons of evil deeds to China since the Opium Wars to this day.
George Eliot was right in saying, “What destroys us most effectively is not a malign fate but our own capacity for self-deception and for degrading our own best self.”
American and European and Japanese capacity for self-deception is so high and for degrading themselves is beyond belief.
Geoge Orwell said something remarkable,
“Nationalism is power hunger tempered by self-deception.”
So is European nationalism.
So is American nationalism.
So is Japanese nationalism.
There is no exception. Do not confuse nationalism with patriotism.
VIII. DECEPTION OF WICKEDNESS
What the Bible condemns is the deception of wickedness:
2Th 2:10-12, “and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not accept the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.”

I am shocked by the deception of wickedness practiced by Western leaders and politicians who believe what is false and who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness. Their proxy war in Ukraine is a case in point.
The greatest deception of wickedness committed by
American leaders and politicians in the history of the world were the false charge of Iraq having weapons of mass destruction. Although the event took place many years ago, it is STILL fresh in my mind. I could envision a nationally televised platform where the black general holding and shaking a vial of white powder in his hand and formally charged Iraq for having weapons of mass destruction and Saddam Hussein the world’s most dangerous dictator. Once the charge was proclaimed, it was most reasonable and rational to launch an attack of Iraq to get rid of its dangerous leader and free the people. American peoples were so simple-minded and did not question the so-called proof or evidence. I was gullible not to question the proof or evidence. The allied troops invaded Iraq but they did not find the weapons of mass destruction. They also murdered Saddam Hussein not because of weapons of mass destruction, but to silenced him forever. For they also robbed and looted Saddam Hussein’s many royal palaces, with tons of gold, billions of dollars in cash, priceless antiques and other treasures. American media never mention the robbery and looting and all Saddam Hussein’s treasures were gone without a trace.

Do you know history is repeating itself. The Ukraine war is a case in point. Western powers and NATO send so much money, heavy weapons, military equipment to the war proxy Ukraine so much so Ukraine rejects peace talks and wants to fight to the last soldier. “The hill, as it is known by locals, got its name from early settlers when it was still the planned site for the Washington state capitol. It was the epicenter for the grunge rock revolution of the late '80s and early '90s. Main thoroughfares include Pine, Pike and Broadway.
Located northeast of Downtown, north of the Central District and First Hill, and west of Madison Valley, Capitol Hill encompasses quite a large area, bounded roughly by I-5 to the West, Madison to the South and East, and Boyer to the North. It is home to what's probably Seattle's largest gay community, and also a significant homeless population. Capitol Hill is also the center of the city's gay nightlife. Venues include Wildrose Tavern, Neighbours, The Cuff, Purr, Madison Pub, Seattle Eagle, C C Attle's, and the Elite. A number of LGBT support organizations are also located on Capitol Hill including: Lambert House, Seattle LGBT Community Center, the Lifelong AIDS Alliance and Gay City.
In the 1950s and '60s, the center of the LGBT community was located in Pioneer Square. Starting in the mid-'70s, as Boeing slashed jobs, families moved to the suburbs, and rents plummeted on Capitol Hill, the LGBT community gradually relocated to Capitol Hill.
The Seattle Pride Parade moved from Broadway on Capitol Hill to 4th Avenue in Downtown Seattle in 2006 after Capitol Hill hosted the annual parade since the 1980s. However, the Seattle LGBT Community Center has launched a separate event called Queer Fest that includes a Saturday evening Pride March on Broadway during the Pride weekend, typically held in late June.
The Capitol Hill gay community has changed a lot over the early years of the 21st century, with the closure of Seattle's LGBT bookstore (Beyond the Closet), the closure of the hill's only gay pride shop, and the closure of a couple of gay clubs (Spintron, Timberline, ARO.Space, and the short lived Blu). Seattle's gay community has become more decentralized too, with more members of the community living in places like West Seattle, Wallingford, and Bainbridge Island.”
X. THE LAST DECEPTION
Mat 27:64, “Therefore, give orders for the grave to be made secure until the third day, otherwise His disciples may come and steal Him away and say to the people, ‘He has risen from the dead,' and the last deception will be worse than the first.”
Christians are righteous people who do not practice deception. While Jesus was alive, every time He talked about His death on the cross for our sins, He invariably said He would rise again the third day. This was no deception. This was real assurance.
The chief priests and the Pharisees who were enemies of Christ, gathered together with Pilate
and asked Pilate to give orders for the grave to be made secure until the third day. You know the greatest deception is for deceivers to call the Just Jesus “that deceiver”. It is not a new thing that the greatest terrorists would call Russia threat and China threat. Pilate gave them what they asked, and they went and made the tomb secure with the guard, sealing the stone. You know no power on earth can be secure to oppose the power of God.
Mat 28:2-15, “ And behold, a severe earthquake had occurred, for an angel of the Lord descended from Heaven and came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon it. And his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. The guards shook from fear of him and became like dead men. And the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.
And go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead
of you to Galilee. There you will see Him; behold, I have told you.” And they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy, and ran to report to His disciples.
And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Rejoice!”
And they came up and took hold of His feet, and worshiped Him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go, bring Word to My brothers to leave for Galilee, and there they will see Me.” Now while they were on their way, some of the men from the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests
all that had happened. And when they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, and said, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came at night and stole Him while we were asleep. And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will appease him and keep you out of trouble.” And they took the money and did as they had been instructed; and this story was widely spread among the Jews and is to this day.”
The truth is straight, it is deception which is crooked. Large sum of money is always used to pervert the truth. Western journalists are paid very well to spread lies and deceits about Russian and China. Imagine if the soldiers were asleep when the disciples of Jesus came at night and stole Him. You know what would happen to soldier who were asleep on duty?
Jesus never had the last deception since He did not have the first deception. Truth does not need a large sum of money. Truth can defend itself. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is a historical fact. The empty tomb is forever the proof.
I did not know Ezra Taft Benson because he was of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
(LDS Church) which I could never support according to the Holy Bible. But what Benson said had a ring of truth. “An honorable man or woman is one who is truthful; free from deceit; above cheating, lying, stealing, or any form of deception. An honorable man or woman is one who learns early that one cannot do wrong and feel right. A man's character is judged on how he keeps his word and his agreements.”
I do not know also Raul Grijalva, I admit biased against a last name like that but he says something which is true and important, “We in this Congress have a choice. The American people have a right to exercise a choice on this issue, as to whether our men and women will continue to fight and die in a war based on deception and fantasy, or to start bringing the troops home.”
Pardon me to make correction on his statement. “We in this Congress have a choice.” Yes, American politicians want to have all the power and wealth, not one is interested in revising the US CONSTITUTION to vest national sovereignty right in American citizens. No, the American people have no right to exercise a choice. There is no National Referendum where the 51% of American citizens can determine and decide the direction of America and all vital issues, and can remove the president without going through the useless impeachment process. Yes, more than 70% of Americans choose our men and women not to continue fighting and dying in a war based on deception and fantasy, and to start bringing the troops home. Ukraine war is a grand deception and goal to rule and dominate the world.
I agree with Charles Spurgeon in saying, “A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.”
With the dominant and domineering Western propaganda machine and massive Western media and the world order set up by Western powers, today Western deception is broadcasting and disseminating as the truth all over the world. American aggression and imperialism is shamelessly packaged as democracy, human rights, freedom, and justice. Billions of peoples believe in a lie. These deceivers believe if you say and tell a lie long and loud enough, people will believe it is a truth. For that reason they keep on shouting and spreading Russia threat and China threat, so it may justify them to wage wars and military conflicts by crook or by hook to weaken and destroy Russia and China. Many do not know the existence of NATO is to destroy Russia in Europe, and now the goal of QUAD is to destroy China in Asia. The world is watching whether India will fall for the bait, whether ASEAN countries can be fooled by so-called economic framework. There are still many gullible who do not understand the sole goal of American empire is world domination and dictatorship. America does not have friends, it only has interest. Capitalism is a pious financial fraud for the deception of the masses. They must face the evidence that every nation recently conquered by America invariably becomes poorer and destitute, to name a few such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, etc.

The facts that the leaders of the UNITED STATES of America comprehensively and consistently
suppress China’s peaceful rise, oppress China, hold down China; spy on China, boycott China,
sanction China, antagonize and provoke China by military operations in the South China Sea,
Yellow Sea and the East China Sea with aircraft carriers, war ships and war planes violating
China’s sovereignty; make Taiwan de facto an American colony and sell deadly weapons to
Taiwan to war against China; support riots and terror in Hong Kong, Xinjiang and Tibet; ban
China’s most advanced technology (Huawei 5G), corporations and software (Tik Tak);
encircle and target China with more than 700 overseas military bases around the world; block
China’s diplomatic efforts; employ regime change in Beijing; undermine China’s Belt and Road
initiative and enterprises; tell lies about China virus and spreading of COVID-19; smear and sully
China in every way possible; intend to destroy China (RAND PLAN); ETC. these are not notions
or imaginations or incorrect perceptions of Chinese leaders born yesterday, they are substantiated
by long history since the infamous Opium Wars, the unjust American wars and bloody
military interventions since the end of World War II, the sending of American 7th Fleet to prevent
the reunification of Taiwan with Mainland, ETC. And China does not dream up American malice,
ill will, hostilities and aggression, lies and falsehoods and false accusations; they are clear as the
sky is blue, and clear as crystal. The most outrageous and immoral accusation is that the
domineering China causes all the conflicts and problems and troubles to America, China is the
prime threat to American national security. Such distortion and deception would even blush the
devil. Compounded by the fact that almost all American leaders and politicians claim to be
Christians. American leaders and politicians are most skillful in raising the banners of democracy,
human right, freedom, equality, justice, etc. when they are bent on attacking and destroying
other nations and peoples without reason or cause. God knows all the secrets and evil deeds of
America.The American two parties are divisive in everything, but united as one against China. This
tells you the American hostility and malice toward China is deep-rooted and mad. America does
not show any interest in solving American economic, financial, legal, political, racial, trade,
diplomatic, and social problems at home. America does not mind its own business, but
blatantly interfere in the internal affairs of so many nations and peoples. America practices
empty and phony democracy where 1 percent of the population rules over the 99 percent; where
the rich and powerful get richer and richer; where racial discrimination is systemic, where
injustice is the rule of law, and where high crime rate, unrest, fear, incivility, lawlessness, and
vulgarity eminently characterize the American society. American leaders and politicians are
expressly jealous of China’s successes and afraid of a strong and united China. The world will
be better off the moment America minds its Own business and cease and desist from all
aggression and intervention.

What the heck, won’t it wondeful if all nations and peoples seek peace and justice? The Bible gives one reason why not, 1Jo 5:19, “We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.”
Evil is like fire will destroy the nation and peoples. When preferential treatment is given to a certain race, all races suffer discrimination. Rejection of unqualified and undisciplined black employees and discharge because poor performance are not racial discriminations. Affirmative Action is illegal and unconstitutional, it must be completely eliminated. Diversify has gone too far, it must be abundoned. Harvard is the richest university in the world; universities are not for education, they are for money and ideology. Student loans cannot default or be forgiven, they must get jobs to pay back. Universities can have academic freedom, and freedom of speech but no federal funding. There are too many parasites who live on government funds; no subsidy of any business or contracts. Illegal aliens are unlawful criminals, they have no civil right, human right and do not deserve humanitarian aid. They cannot be on welfare. They deserve only to be deported without payment. All races must compete on an equal footing. How is there any hope for the ugliest, darkest, laziest and useless people who only eat and drink and produce many children they cannot support? Why EU and NATO support the evil and corrupt Ukraine nincompoop and prolong the war? America aids support evil.
1Jo 2:17-18, “The world is passing away and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God continues to live forever. Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour.”
I agree with Arnold J. Toynbee who said, “ Civilizations die from suicide, not by murder.”
“As an American by nationality” I have to do my best to warn my fellow Americans:
1. America is committing suicide by failing to deport 45 million illegal aliens already residing in America, most of them are on welfare; failing to deter and prevent hordes of unlawful migrants to enter the United States. America needs to punish Mexico who is the conduit for illegal migrants to enter America. Unlawful migrants are criminals who do not have any right, civil or humanitarian.
2. America is committing suicide because wealth and power are in the hands of leaders and politicians, the two parties, courts, the military, bureaucrats, and vested interests. Watch out the global demostrators who oppose federal cuts, but endorce debt and deficits, waste and fraud in the government.
3. America is committing suicide by media promoting the wrong cultural values, lewdness, violence and unwholesome behavior; over representing and over employing blacks. Jobs must be earned, they cannot be given. If a journalist by accident received classified information, he should not and would not publish it because he/she is patriotic. If classified information is published, the journalist is a traitor.
4. America is committing suicide by not making the American English the only official language in America.
5. America is committing suicide by unnecessarily making Russia and China enemies and rivals.
6. America is committing suicide by failing to disregard pathetic EU (including Britain, Australia, Canada); dismiss NATO & QUAD; and discard Ukraine, Phillippines, Türkiye, Japan, South Korea, South Africa and Taiwan.
7. America is committing suicide by being an empire to dominate the world instead of seeking a just and lasting peace for the world as President Richard Nixon did.

8. China's troops should never be sent under UN's peace-keeping force to countries habitually having conflicts and civil wars --to die for nothing.
9. China needs to liberate Taiwan now by force, and execute traitorous leaders of People’s Progressive Party in public.
10. China needs to rebuild Yuan Ming Garden which was burned down and looted by the allied 8-nation troops. They must pay compensation through diplomacy now or by military force later.
