It is impossible to create Gods, the true and living God cannot be created. It is possible to create false gods.

The gods who had been created are not God. The true and living God is never created. The true and living God is self-existent and eternal. You cannot use the formula -- once upon a time on God. For God existed and exists in the past eternity, in the present eternity and in the future eternity-- for ever and ever. The God of the Bible exists from everlasting to everlasting, time without beginning and ending, for ever and ever.

The Scriptures, being the Word of God, is the only appropriate tool to describe God. Science does not have the knowledge of God. The spiritual, invisible, eternal are beyond the realm of science.

1. God has no beginning and no ending

Jhn 1:1-2, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning

with God.”

Beginning in Greek is archē which is used absolutely, of the beginning of all things; the point at which something begins -- which occurs 55 times in the New Testament. Something could not begin by itself. It must be God who begins by Himself before everything else. For God is Self-Existent.

What kind of God? YOU cannot trust any man to describe God. Only the Word of God is qualified to explain God:

Num 23:19

“God is not a man, that He would lie,

Nor a son of man, that He would change His mind;

Has He said, and will He not do it?

Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”

God does not have genealogy.

2. God created the Heavens and the earth

God was in the beginning, and the Son was with God, and the Son was God. The Son (Word) was in the beginning with God. No one knows the beginning of Jhn 1:1, which was longer than Gen 1:1, “In the beginning God created the Heavens and the earth.”

The beginning of Jhn 1:1 only God knows, it cannot be counted. The beginning of Gen 1:1, can be counted but only God knows. It was not what James Ussher (1581-1656), who declared the world was created in 4004 BC.

The Heavens are what is generally known as the Universe.

Take the universe, it is so vast that human knowledge is like a few pebbles in the ocean sands.

“Galaxies are vast collections of stars that populate our universe. But how many galaxies are there? Counting them seems like an impossible task. Sheer numbers is one problem — once the count gets into the billions, it takes a while to do the addition. Another problem is the limitation of our instruments. To get the best view, a telescope needs to have a large aperture (the diameter of the main mirror or lens) and be located above the atmosphere to avoid distortion from Earth's air.Perhaps the most resonant example of this fact is the Hubble extreme Deep Field (XDF), an image made by combining 10 years of photographs from the Hubble Space Telescope. The telescope watched a small patch of sky in repeat visits for a total of 50 days, according to NASA. If you held your thumb at arm's length to cover the moon, the XDF area would be about the size of the head of a pin. While estimates among different experts vary, an acceptable range is between 100 billion and 200 billion galaxies, said Mario Livio, an astrophysicist at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. The James Webb Space Telescope is expected to reveal even more information about early galaxies in the universe, according to The Astrophysical Journal. ”

Gen 1:16, “God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also.”

The Sun is the only star in our solar system. It is the center of our solar system, and its gravity holds the solar system together. Everything in our solar system revolves around it – the planets, asteroids, comets, and tiny bits of space debris.

Measuring a “day” on the Sun is complicated. The Sun is made of super-hot, electrically charged gas called plasma. This plasma rotates at different speeds on different parts of the Sun. At its equator, the Sun completes one rotation in 25 Earth days. At its poles, the Sun rotates once on its axis every 36 Earth days.

The part of the Sun we see from Earth – the part we call the surface – is the photosphere. The Sun doesn’t actually have a solid surface because it’s a ball of plasma.

Above the Sun’s surface are its thin chromosphere and the huge corona (crown). This is where we see features such as solar prominences, flares, and coronal mass ejections. The latter two are giant explosions of energy and particles that can reach Earth.

The Sun doesn’t have moons, but it’s orbited by eight planets, at least five dwarf planets, tens of thousands of asteroids, and perhaps three trillion comets and icy bodies.

Several spacecraft are currently investigating the Sun including Parker Solar Probe, STEREO, Solar Orbiter, SOHO, Solar Dynamics Observatory, Hinode, IRIS, and Wind.

The Sun would have been surrounded by a disk of gas and dust early in its history when the solar system was first forming 4.6 billion years ago. Some of that dust is still around today, in several dust rings that circle the Sun. They trace the orbits of planets, whose gravity tugs dust into place around the Sun.

Nothing could live on the Sun, but its energy is vital for most life on Earth.

From our vantage point on Earth, the Sun may appear like an unchanging source of light and heat in the sky. But the Sun is a dynamic star, constantly changing and sending energy out into space. The science of studying the Sun and its influence throughout the solar system is called heliophysics.

The Sun is the largest object in our solar system. Its diameter is about 865,000 miles (1.4 million kilometers). Its gravity holds the solar system together, keeping everything from the biggest planets to the smallest bits of debris in orbit around it.

Even though the Sun is the center of our solar system and essential to our survival, it’s only an average star in terms of its size. Stars up to 100 times larger have been found. And many solar systems have more than one star. By studying our Sun, scientists can better understand the workings of distant stars.

The hottest part of the Sun is its core, where temperatures top 27 million °F (15 million °C). The part of the Sun we call its surface – the photosphere – is a relatively cool 10,000 °F (5,500 °C). In one of the Sun’s biggest mysteries, the Sun’s outer atmosphere, the corona, gets hotter the farther it stretches from the surface. The corona reaches up to 3.5 million °F (2 million °C) – much, much hotter than the photosphere.”

“Earth’s Moon has a core, mantle, and crust.

The Moon’s core is proportionally smaller than other terrestrial bodies’ cores. The solid, iron-rich inner core is 149 miles (240 kilometers) in radius. It is surrounded by a liquid iron shell 56 miles (90 kilometers) thick. A partially molten layer with a thickness of 93 miles (150 kilometers) surrounds the iron core.

The mantle extends from the top of the partially molten layer to the bottom of the Moon’s crust. It is most likely made of minerals like olivine and pyroxene, which are made up of magnesium, iron, silicon, and oxygen atoms.

The crust has a thickness of about 43 miles (70 kilometers) on the Moon’s near-side hemisphere and 93 miles (150 kilometers) on the far-side. It is made of oxygen, silicon, magnesium, iron, calcium, and aluminum, with small amounts of titanium, uranium, thorium, potassium, and hydrogen.

Long ago the Moon had active volcanoes, but today they are all dormant and have not erupted for millions of years.

With too sparse an atmosphere to impede impacts, a steady rain of asteroids, meteoroids, and comets strikes the surface of the Moon, leaving numerous craters behind. Tycho Crater is more than 52 miles (85 kilometers) wide.

Over billions of years, these impacts have ground up the surface of the Moon into fragments ranging from huge boulders to powder. Nearly the entire Moon is covered by a rubble pile of charcoal-gray, powdery dust, and rocky debris called the lunar regolith. Beneath is a region of fractured bedrock referred to as the megaregolith.

The light areas of the Moon are known as the highlands. The dark features, called maria (Latin for seas), are impact basins that were filled with lava between 4.2 and 1.2 billion years ago. These light and dark areas represent rocks of different compositions and ages, which provide evidence for how the early crust may have crystallized from a lunar magma ocean. The craters themselves, which have been preserved for billions of years, provide an impact history for the Moon and other bodies in the inner solar system.

If you looked in the right places on the Moon, you would find pieces of equipment, American flags, and even a camera left behind by astronauts. While you were there, you’d notice that the gravity on the surface of the Moon is one-sixth of Earth’s, which is why in footage of moonwalks, astronauts appear to almost bounce across the surface.

The temperature on the Moon reaches about 260 degrees Fahrenheit (127 degrees Celsius) when in full Sun, but in darkness, the temperatures plummet to about -280 degrees Fahrenheit (-173 degrees Celsius).

Water on the Moon

During the initial exploration of the Moon, and the analysis of all the returned samples from the Apollo and the Luna missions, we thought that the surface of the Moon was dry.

The first definitive discovery of water was made in 2008 by the Indian mission Chandrayaan-1, which detected hydroxyl molecules spread across the lunar surface and concentrated at the poles. Missions such as Lunar Prospector, LCROSS, and Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, have not only shown that the surface of the Moon has global hydration but there are actually high concentrations of ice water in the permanently shadowed regions of the lunar poles.

Scientists also found the lunar surface releases its water when the Moon is bombarded by micrometeoroids. The surface is protected by a layer, a few centimeters of dry soil that can only be breached by large micrometeoroids. When micrometeoroids impact the surface of the Moon, most of the material in the crater is vaporized. The shock wave carries enough energy to release the water that’s coating the grains of the soil. Most of that water is released into space.

In October 2020, NASA’s Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) confirmed, for the first time, water on the sunlit surface of the Moon. This discovery indicates that water may be distributed across the lunar surface, and not limited to cold, shadowed places. SOFIA detected water molecules (H2O) in Clavius Crater, one of the largest craters visible from Earth, located in the Moon’s southern hemisphere.

Earth is the only planet in the solar system whose English name does not come from Greek or Roman mythology. The name was taken from Old English and Germanic. It simply means “the ground.” There are, of course, many names for our planet in the thousands of languages spoken by the people of the third planet from the Sun.

Earth has a very hospitable temperature and mix of chemicals that have made life abundant here. Most notably, Earth is unique in that most of our planet is covered in liquid water, since the temperature allows liquid water to exist for extended periods of time. Earth’s vast oceans provided a convenient place for life to begin about 3.8 billion years ago.

Some of the features of our planet that make it great for sustaining life are changing due to the ongoing effects of climate change.

With an equatorial diameter of 7926 miles (12,760 kilometers), Earth is the biggest of the terrestrial planets and the fifth largest planet in our solar system.

From an average distance of 93 million miles (150 million kilometers), Earth is exactly one astronomical unit away from the Sun because one astronomical unit (abbreviated as AU), is the distance from the Sun to Earth. This unit provides an easy way to quickly compare planets’ distances from the Sun.

It takes about eight minutes for light from the Sun to reach our planet.

As Earth orbits the Sun, it completes one rotation every 23.9 hours. It takes 365.25 days to complete one trip around the Sun. That extra quarter of a day presents a challenge to our calendar system, which counts one year as 365 days. To keep our yearly calendars consistent with our orbit around the Sun, every four years we add one day. That day is called a leap day, and the year it’s added to is called a leap year.

Earth’s axis of rotation is tilted 23.4 degrees with respect to the plane of Earth’s orbit around the Sun. This tilt causes our yearly cycle of seasons. During part of the year, the northern hemisphere is tilted toward the Sun, and the southern hemisphere is tilted away. With the Sun higher in the sky, solar heating is greater in the north producing summer there. Less direct solar heating produces winter in the south. Six months later, the situation is reversed. When spring and fall begin, both hemispheres receive roughly equal amounts of heat from the Sun.

Earth is composed of four main layers, starting with an inner core at the planet’s center, enveloped by the outer core, mantle, and crust.

The inner core is a solid sphere made of iron and nickel metals about 759 miles (1,221 kilometers) in radius. There the temperature is as high as 9,800 degrees Fahrenheit (5,400 degrees Celsius). Surrounding the inner core is the outer core. This layer is about 1,400 miles (2,300 kilometers) thick, made of iron and nickel fluids.

In between the outer core and crust is the mantle, the thickest layer. This hot, viscous mixture of molten rock is about 1,800 miles (2,900 kilometers) thick and has the consistency of caramel. The outermost layer, Earth’s crust, goes about 19 miles (30 kilometers) deep on average on land. At the bottom of the ocean, the crust is thinner and extends about 3 miles (5 kilometers) from the seafloor to the top of the mantle.

Like Mars and Venus, Earth has volcanoes, mountains, and valleys. Earth’s lithosphere, which includes the crust (both continental and oceanic) and the upper mantle, is divided into huge plates that are constantly moving. For example, the North American plate moves west over the Pacific Ocean basin, roughly at a rate equal to the growth of our fingernails. Earthquakes result when plates grind past one another, ride up over one another, collide to make mountains, or split and separate.

Earth’s global ocean, which covers nearly 70% of the planet’s surface, has an average depth of about 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) and contains 97% of Earth’s water. Almost all of Earth’s volcanoes are hidden under these oceans. Hawaii’s Mauna Kea volcano is taller from base to summit than Mount Everest, but most of it is underwater. Earth’s longest mountain range is also underwater, at the bottom of the Arctic and Atlantic oceans. It is four times longer than the Andes, Rockies and Himalayas combined.

Near the surface, Earth has an atmosphere that consists of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and 1% other gases such as argon, carbon dioxide, and neon. The atmosphere affects Earth’s long-term climate and short-term local weather and shields us from much of the harmful radiation coming from the Sun. It also protects us from meteoroids, most of which burn up in the atmosphere, seen as meteors in the night sky, before they can strike the surface as meteorites.”

There is something which scientists without Biblical knowledge would not know:

“Gen 15:5, “And He took him outside and said, “Now look toward the Heavens and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”

Abraham was the first man who knew that the stars cannot be counted, too numerous.

Psa 147:4, “He counts the number of the stars; He gives

Names to all of them.”

Only God can count the number of the stars and He gives Names to all of them. The fact stars are too many to count, and God give names to all of them -- that indicates God has unlimited mathematics and infinite memory. What fun in the New Heavens just to explore the innumerable stars and get to know some of their names.

Isa 40:26, “Raise your eyes on high

and see who has created these stars,

The One who brings out their multitude by number,

He calls them all by name;

Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power,

Not one of them is missing.”

Dan 12:3, “And those who have insight will shine like the glow of the expanse of Heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.”

In the Kingdom of Heaven, sun and moon will be no more; but the stars are forever and ever.

1Co 15:41, “There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.”

“Astronomers estimate that the universe could contain up to one septillion stars – that’s a one followed by 24 zeros. Our Milky Way alone contains more than 100 billion, including our most well-studied star, the Sun.

Stars are giant balls of hot gas – mostly hydrogen, with some helium and small amounts of other elements. Every star has its own life cycle, ranging from a few million to trillions of years, and its properties change as it ages.”

In the beginning, The Triune God (not three Gods, but one God in three Persons) participated in the Creation. Gen 1:2, “And the earth was a formless and desolate emptiness, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.”

Gen 2:3, “Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on it He rested from all His work which God had

created and made.”

There is no doubt that the creation was all God’s work which He had created and made.

Col 1:15-17, “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation: for by Him all things were created, both in the Heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things

hold together.”

He is the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

3. God created man, male and female

Gen 1:26, “Then God said, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the livestock and over all the earth, and over every crawling

thing that crawls on the earth.”

Man was not a product of evolution. God created only two genders: male and female.

There are people who wanted to add more, contrary to the Word of God.

5. GOD TASKED NOAH

Heb 11:7, “By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.”

7. warned of God] The same word is used as in Hebrews 8:5, Hebrews 12:25.
moved with fear] Influenced by godly caution and reverence; the same kind of fear as that implied in Hebrews 5:7.
condemned the world] His example was in condemning contrast with the unbelief of the world (Matthew 12:41; Luke 11:31).
of the righteousness which is by faith] Rather, “which is according to faith” (comp. Ezekiel 14:14). Noah is called “righteous” in Genesis 6:9, and Philo observes that he is the first to receive this title, and erroneously says that the name Noah means “righteous” as well as “rest.” St Paul does not use the phrase “the righteousness according to faith,” though he has “the righteousness of faith” (Romans 4:13). “Faith” however in this writer never becomes the same as mystic oneness with Christ, but means general belief in the unseen; and “righteousness” is not “justification,” but faith manifested by obedience. Throughout this chapter righteousness is the human condition which faith produces (Hebrews 11:33), not the divine gift which faith receives. Hence he says that Noah “became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith,” i.e. he entered on the inheritance of righteousness which faith had brought him. In 2 Peter 2:5 Noah is called “a preacher of righteousness;” and in Wis 10:4 “the righteous man.”

6. GOD CALLED ABRAHAM

Act 7:2-8, “And Stephen said, “Listen to me,

brothers and fathers! The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran, and He said to him, ‘GO FROM YOUR COUNTRY AND YOUR RELATIVES, AND COME TO THE LAND WHICH I WILL SHOW YOU.’ Then he left the land of the Chaldeans

and settled in Haran. And from there, after his father

died, God had him move to this country in which you are now living. But He gave him no inheritance in it, not even a foot of ground, and yet, He promised that He would give it to him as a possession, and to his descendants after him, even though he had no child.

But God spoke to this effect, that his DESCENDANTS

WOULD BE STRANGERS IN A LAND THAT WAS NOT THEIRS, AND THEY WOULD ENSLAVE AND MISTREAT THEM FOR FOUR HUNDRED YEARS.

“AND WHATEVER NATION TO WHICH THEY ARE ENSLAVED I MYSELF WILL JUDGE,” said God, ‘AND AFTER THAT THEY WILL COME OUT AND SERVE ME IN THIS PLACE.’

And He gave him the covenant of circumcision; and so Abraham fathered Isaac, and circumcised him on the eighth day; and Isaac fathered Jacob, and Jacob, the twelve patriarchs.”

Mat 1:2, “Abraham fathered Isaac, Isaac fathered Jacob, and Jacob fathered Judah and his brothers.”

Mat 1:17, “So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; from David to the deportation to Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the deportation to Babylon to the Messiah, fourteen generations.”

Rom 4:3, “For what does the Scripture say? “ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS.”

Rom 4:9, “Is this blessing then on the circumcised, or on the uncircumcised also? For we say, “FAITH WAS CREDITED TO ABRAHAM AS

RIGHTEOUSNESS.”

Rom 4:12-13, “and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also follow in the steps of the faith of our father

Abraham which he had while uncircumcised.”

Rom 4:13, “For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would be heir of the world was not through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith.”

Rom 4:16, “For this reason it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise

will be guaranteed to all the descendants, not only to

those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all.”

Gal 3:7-9, “Therefore, recognize that it is those who are of faith who are sons of Abraham. The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying,

“ALL THE NATIONS WILL BE BLESSED IN YOU.”

So then, those who are of faith are blessed with

Abraham, the believer.”

Gal 3:14, “in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

Heb 11:8, “By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he left, not knowing where he was going.”

Heb 11:17, “By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and the one who had received the promises was offering up his only son.”

Jas 2:21, “Was our father Abraham not justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar?”

Jas 2:23, “and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “AND ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS,” and he was called a friend of God.”

7. GOD SENT HIS SON

Jhn 3:16-18, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.’

Jhn 3:34, “For He whom God sent speaks the Words

of God; for He does not give the Spirit sparingly. Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work.”

Jhn 5:23, “so that all will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.”

Jhn 5:24, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My Word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.”

Jhn 5:30, “I can do nothing on My own. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of Him who sent Me.”

And we have seen, and do testify,.... This seems to be particularly said of the apostles, who had a clear discerning of the love and grace of God, manifested in the mission of Christ into the world; for though no man had seen his nature and his person, yet they had seen his love, and the exceeding riches of his grace, which he had shown forth in Christ Jesus; and they had also seen Christ, God manifest in the flesh; they had seen his glory, as the glory of the only begotten of the Father; they had seen him with their bodily eyes; they had seen his works and miracles; they had seen him dying and risen again from the dead, and go up to heaven; they were witnesses, and eyewitnesses of him, and bore a faithful testimony of him, and for him, and particularly set their seal to this truth,

that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world; not of every individual person in it, for there are some that will go into everlasting punishment, and even a world that will be condemned; Christ is not in fact the Saviour of all the individuals of human nature, and therefore was not sent to be such; for if he was, the end of his mission is not fully answered; nor of the Jews only, but of the Gentiles also, and who are chiefly intended by "the world"; See Gill on 1 John 2:2; and even of all the elect of God, styled his people, his sheep, his friends, his church, and the sons of God; and it may be said of all that believe in him throughout the whole world, without any distinction of nation, age, sex, state, or condition: and Christ is the Saviour both of the souls and bodies of these, from all their sins, original and actual; from the power of Satan, the bondage and curse of the law, and wrath to come, and he is the only, able, willing, and complete Saviour, and who saves with an everlasting salvation.”

The doctrine that the Father sent the Son Jesus Christ into the world is so important that Jesus reiterates AND repeats it again and again. Let the world know that the Father sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world to save the world!

8. GOD IS ABLE

God is able means God has absolute sovereignty and rules the universe. Nothing can hinder or thwart God. Luk 1:37, “For nothing will be impossible with God.”

Mat 19:23-26, “And Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly I say to you, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.“And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God.” When the disciples heard this, they were very astonished and said, “Then who can be saved?” And looking at them, Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Benson Commentary

Matthew 19:23-24. Then said Jesus unto his disciples — While they had this example before their eyes, and were witnesses of the melancholy fact of a well-educated and well-disposed man voluntarily foregoing all hope of eternal life rather than part with his temporal possessions; that is, relinquishing all prospect of the infinite and everlasting riches and glories of heaven, for the unsatisfying, uncertain, and transitory enjoyments of earth! Verily I say unto you — And enjoin you firmly to believe and seriously to consider what I say; that a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven — Either into the kingdom of grace or the kingdom of glory; or be brought to have such an esteem and love for the gospel, with its present and future blessings, as to embrace it at the hazard of losing their worldly property, together with their good name, thereby, or so as to use that property in such a manner as the laws of the gospel require. Our Lord therefore adds, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, &c. — A common proverb among the Jews to express the extreme difficulty of a thing. Theophylact observes, that some explain the word, καμηλον, as signifying here a cable. “A good authority, however, for this signification, though adopted by Castalio, who says, rudentem, I,” says Dr. Campbell, “have never seen. The frequency of the term among all sorts of writers, for denoting the beast so denominated, is undeniable. Besides, the camel being the largest animal they were acquainted with in Judea, its name was become proverbial for denoting any thing remarkably large, and a camel’s passing through a needle’s eye came, by consequence, as appears from some rabbinical writings, to express a thing absolutely impossible.” Our Lord, therefore, here represents the salvation of a rich man as being next to an impossibility. It was especially so in those early days, when the profession of the gospel exposed men to so much persecution. And perhaps, as Dr. Macknight observes, these strong expressions, in their strictest sense, must be understood of the state of things at that time subsisting; yet they are also applicable to rich men in all ages. The reason is, “Riches have a woful influence upon piety in two respects. 1st, In the acquisition; for, not to mention the many frauds and other sins that men commit to obtain riches, they occasion an endless variety of cares and anxieties, which draw the affections away from God. 2d, They are offensive to piety in the possession; because, if they are hoarded, they never fail to beget covetousness, which is the root of all evil; and if they are enjoyed they become strong temptations to luxury, drunkenness, lust, pride, and idleness.” But, besides these, riches are a dangerous snare in several other respects. 1st, It is difficult to possess them and not inordinately love them, and put that trust in them which ought to be put only in the living God. For rich men “obtaining all the necessaries and superfluities of life by means of their riches, are apt to consider them as the sources of their happiness, and to depend upon them as such, forgetting altogether their dependance on God. It is otherwise with the poor. They are exposed to manifold afflictions, and labour under the pressure of continual wants. These serve to convince them of the vanity of the world, and to put them in mind of their dependance upon God; at the same time, the unexpected deliverances and supplies which they meet with, rivet the idea more firmly. Wherefore, in the very nature of things, the poor are nearer to the kingdom of God than the rich; and if the latter, yielding to the temptations of their state, trust in their riches, words can scarce be invented strong enough to paint the difficulty of bringing them to that holy temper of mind which would qualify them for the kingdom of God.” 2d, It is not easy to possess riches and not think highly of ourselves on account of them, as they certainly give their possessors a consequence which they otherwise could not have, and cause them to be looked up to with respect by all that are round about them. But, 3d, The most difficult thing of all is, to possess them and make a right use of them, even that use which God wills all to make in whose hands he hath lodged them. In other words, To use them as those who are persuaded that, properly speaking, they are not proprietors, but merely stewards of them, and will certainly be called by the great Lord of all to give an account how they have employed every part of them, and what use they have made of the advantages and opportunities for doing and receiving good above others, which riches put in their power.

Mar 10:27, “Looking at them, Jesus said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.” The Almighty God has no difficulty or impossibility; God is not delimited by men or things.

Pulpit Commentary

Verse 27. - Jesus looking upon them (ἐμβλέψας δὲ αὐτοῖς). The Greek verb implies an earnest, intense looking upon them; evidently narrated by one who, like Peter, had watched his countenance. St. Chrysostom says that he looked on them in this way that he might mitigate and soothe the timid and anxious minds of his disciples. It is as though our Lord said, "It is impossible for a rich man, embarrassed and entangled with his wealth, by his own natural strength to obtain salvation; because this is a supernatural blessing, which we cannot obtain without the like supernatural aids of grace. But with God all things are possible, because God is the Author and Source, as of nature, so of grace and glory. And he enables us, by his grace, to triumph over all the difficulties and hindrances of nature; so that rich men shall not be hindered by their riches; but, by being faithful in the unrighteous mammon, shall make it the means of their being received unto 'the eternal tabernacle.'" Mark 10:27.”

9. GOD CAUSES ALL THINGS

Rom 8:28, “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Cause here in Greek is synergeō which means to work with; help with; work together; cooperate; serve as an occasion of; bring on; produce; bring about; create; result in; synergize; - which occurs 5 times in the New Testament. The wonder of all wonders is that God works all things with them for good to those who love God.

Jas 2:22, “You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected.” The Word of God illustrates how faith works together with works. The Christian faith is not dead. Faith works with works to make faith perfected. I agree with the philosophy of Abraham Lincoln although in this instance he did not identify God who caused all things when he said, “There are no accidents in my philosophy. Every effect must have its cause. The past is the cause of the present, and the present will be the cause of the future. All these are links in the endless chain stretching from the finite to the infinite.” Abraham Lincoln was defective because the present will not be the cause of the future. The future does not depend on the present. At the present, the wicked rule the world. Psa 37:38, “But wrongdoers will altogether be destroyed; the future of the wicked will be eliminated.” How the future of the wicked will be eliminated? The devil and the wicked ones will suffer in Hell for eternity. In the Kingdom of Heaven, there will be no wicked or wrongdoers. Psa 37:37, “Observe the blameless person, and look at the upright; for the person of peace will have a future.” A person of peace is a son of God. Of course, the children of God will have a blessed future.

There is no future for warmongers, imperialists, militarists, capitalists, and the military-industrial-security complex.

Pro 24:20, “For there will be no future for the evil person; the lamp of the wicked will be put out.”

There will be no future for the evil person. The wicked will suffer in Hell in total darkness forever. There is no hope for their future. No one can predict the future. No magic can tell the future.

Some philosopher was so wrong to say, “Only the knowledge that comes from inside is the real Knowledge.” No one’s inside has the real knowledge. The real knowledge comes by revelation.

Ecc 3:15, “What is happening now has happened before, and what will happen in the future has happened before, because God makes the same things happen over and over again.” This is true as long as the world exists. It will not be true in new Heavens and new Earth. For the Lord of the universe plans and controls the future. God knows what the future holds. Everything God plans will come to pass, for God does whatever He wishes.

The future is in control of the Lord of the universe.

Rom 9:23-25, “And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon objects of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory, namely us, whom He also called, not only from among Jews, but also from among Gentiles, as He also says in Hosea:
“I WILL CALL THOSE WHO WERE NOT MY PEOPLE, ‘MY PEOPLE,’AND HER WHO WAS NOT BELOVED, ‘BELOVED.’”

God has prepared beforehand for glory, not only for the Jews but also for Gentile believers. They will be the children of God, the objects of mercy. It will be a glorious future for the children of God.

Mat 26:64, “Jesus replied, “You have said it. And in the future you will see the Son of Man seated in the place of power at God's right hand and coming on the clouds of Heaven.”

The most important event to take place in the future in the whole universe is the second coming of Jesus Christ with glory and power on the clouds of Heaven.

Eph 4:4, “For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.”

Christians have been called to one glorious hope for the future. Listen, arrogant Western leaders and politicians, you have no hope for the future.

Heb 2:5, “And furthermore, it is not angels who will control the future world we are talking about.”

This is the truth that not many know about: It is not angels who will control the future world we are talking about.

Rom 8:23, “And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as His adopted children, including

the new bodies He has promised us.”

But Christians have a foretaste of future glory, our bodies will be released from sin and suffering. God will give us our full rights as His adopted children. All the rights so-called in America are phony and good for nothing. The worst is there is no justice in America.

Eph 2:7, “So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all He has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.”

In all future ages Christians will have the incredible wealth without abuse of His grace and kindness toward all God’s children as we are united with Christ Jesus.

Isa 48:6, “You have heard; look at all this.
And you, will you not declare it? I proclaim to you

new things from this time, hidden things which you

have not known.”

The prophet proclaims to us new things, hidden things which we have not known. In the future there will be new things, hidden things which we have not known. Jesus Christ will make all things news.

Rev 21:5, “And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He said, “Write, for these Words are faithful and true.”

Jesus Christ who sits on the throne because He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords who says, “Behold, I am making all things news.” The future will not be like the present for Jesus Christ has made all things new. The world and everything in it will pass away. The Lord Jesus will unfold the new world for all His followers. “All things new” are beyond human comprehension and understanding. Now, get some concept about what is new.

1Co 2:9, “but just as it is written:
“THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND WHICH HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HUMAN HEART, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.”

New things are so numerous, including THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND WHICH HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HUMAN HEART. Oh, vow, it is beyond human imagination. You know, although I am poor, I have seen the largest blue diamond in the world, the largest diamond scepter in the world, the most precious royal crown jewels, the priceless antiques in the world, the most luxurious palaces, the most beautiful places, etc. Of course, my ear has also heard about many things. My heart can also fancy many things. As a boy I used to be able to fancy the beauty of the paradise out of this world as I made up the story to my younger brothers and sisters.

The good thing about the new things that God has prepared for His children is the fact we do not have to learn it or fail in the learning. For example, Christians in the Kingdom of Heaven will automatically be able to speak and understand the language of angels, and fly around like angels without fall or injury. I may offend people by saying there are many nasty languages of the world. There are not many who can speak English elegantly and beautifully. I believe there will be one universal language in the Kingdom of Heaven. Probably the level of your knowledge commensurate with your rank in the Kingdom of Heaven. There would be no ignoramus or illiterate in Heaven. Do you want to know the future? Do you want to know new things in the future? You can find them only in the Book of Revelation.

But one must be careful because God is not the author of evil or evil things. Evil comes from the evil one just as wickedness comes from the wicked. There are many evil things in the world. For examples, American Civil War was not caused by God, but God let it happen anyway. World War I and World War II were not caused by God, but God permitted them to happen anyway. God has directive and permissive will.

Diseases were caused by the sin of Adam and consequent divine curse. Not all diseases are caused by God, but God may let them happen anyway. Not all natural disasters are caused by God, but God may let them happen anyway. It is a great folly to blame God for anything. God is true and every man a liar. God is holy, Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent. God controls whatever comes to pass. God’s sovereignty covers the whole universe and every sphere of activity, active or passive, animate and inanimate. Why does the compassionate God let evil happen in this world is beyond human understanding. God is Righteous and above reproach. Just as the clay cannot challenge the potter, so the creature cannot question the Creator. The finite cannot fathom the Infinite. The mystery of evil is another subject, we will not dwell on it here.

10. GOD WILL REIGN

Psa 146:10, “The LORD will reign forever,

Your God, Zion, to all generations.

Praise the LORD!”

Eternal victory belongs to Christ. The future belongs to Christians.

Rev 5:10, “You have made them into a Kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign upon the earth.”

Rev 20:6, “Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him for a thousand years.”

Rev 22:5, “And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will

illuminate them; and they will reign forever and ever.”

Ellicott's Commentary for English Readers

(5) And there shall be no night there . . .—Rather, And night shall not be any more, and (they shall not have) need of the light of lamp, and of light of sun, because the Lord God shall give light upon them, and they shall reign unto the ages of ages. There shall be no night. Twice is it said (Revelation 21:25) that all darkness shall cease; the darkness in which the saints and sorrowing walked shall be dispelled, when God gives them light. No artificial light is needed, since He who is Light is their light. Those who were children of light now dwell in the light of God’s countenance; and they reign who were made kings and priests to God (Revelation 1:6). With this utterance the visions of the Apocalypse close. The saints of God have been seen in the bitterness and toilfulness of their struggle and pilgrimage towards the Holy City; but from point to point they have made progress. They have gone from strength to strength, unto the God of gods appeareth every one of them in Zion. The Lord God is their sun and shield. He has given grace; He now gives glory. No good thing has been withheld; light, life, and love are theirs. “O Lord God of Hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in Thee” (Psalm 84:11-12).”

In the Kingdom of Heaven, Jesus Christ and the saints will reign forever and ever.

To receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is to receive the eternal life.

Palestinians must be evacuated from the Jewish lands and resettle permanently in Arab lands to build their own Palestinian state. Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthis are terrorists to be destroyed completely. That is the only way to peace.

The world intentionally believes in a lie. Palestinians are originally Arabs who surreptitiously moved to Israel without pay under the British colony called Palestine. Arabs bred like rabbits and called themselves Palestinians. It is most reasonable for Arabs to move to lands of Arabs. For Palestinians do not have claim or resettlement right in the Jewish land of Gaza, West Bank, etc. No one would object for Palestinians to build a Palestinian state in lands of Arabs, but Palestinians cannot build a Palestinian state in the Jewish land. Palestinians prefer to be called refugees in order to receive international aid every thing for free. Palestinians must move out or be removed from the Jewish land. TERRORISTS HAMAS, Hezbollah and Houthis MUST be destroyed completely.

There has been undeclared war in the southern border between Mexico and America, which has been neglected by previous American administrations. Mexico flagrantly serves as the open conduit for illegal migrants to enter California and crossing the river to enter Texas. The US must bomb Mexico to warn them there can not be business as usual; in particular Mexico rejected American airplanes which carried deported illegal migrants to land. America must use its powerful military and National Guards to patrol the borders 24 hours. Fire and shoot at unlawful migrants who climb the wall; who try to destroy the wall; who do graffiti on the wall; who congregate within 100 feet of the wall; who cross the river; who cut the wire to deter the invasion. America declares to REJECT all asylum applicants for 100 years. No humanitarian aid shall be given to any unlawful migrants. In addition to American troops, state National guards must also be used to end the unlawful migrants invasion of America. They are despicable and deplorable peoples who fail in their countries and dream of entering America to live happily and doing nothing on welfare. Immigration Officers must raid Los Angeles, East Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Santa Ana, San Diego, Miami, etc. -- dens of illegal aliens; the Welfare Department has their names and addressees.

Palestinians are also useless, shameless and worthless peoples to loot and rob international aid trucks. They are violent and unproductive. Leaders and politicians of Palestinian Authority lead them to the path of destruction by illegally occupying the Jewish lands. They do not want to go to the Arab lands to build their Palestinian state. They rather stay in Jewish lands in order to receive aid for nothing. No aid should enter to help Palestinians.

Hamas should be held responsible for killing hostages and be punished. The UN chief speaks and supports terrorists should be gone. All UN high-paid officials should be replaced; and UN to be reformed in 100 days. It is a false peace. Gaza, West Bank, Golan Heights, Rafah, etc. are Jewish lands. UN, WHO, Arab-Muslim-Black nations and Palestinian Authority speak and support terrorists Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis without making any demand. Palestinians do not have homeland in Jewish lands. 4. Promote night markets in big cities and promote domestic travel to expand the economy. Deficits and debts are bad; fiscal surplus is good.

5. Execute crooks and criminals who defraud through Telecom and Internet of more than ONE million yuan. IT is not known who polices the rampant international crooks and criminals who defraud the public by famous American universities and institutions who sell high-priced fake drugs such as to cure knee pain and prevent knee surgery and ear ringing, etc. Sweep clean fraudulent commercials on TV and the Internet.

6. Execute crooks and criminals who defraud in foreign nations and do not bring them home. Faces and names of deceivers must be published on TV to shame them and their families.

7. Increase and strengthen the development and deployment of nuclear weapons for self-defence.

8. Streamline and reduce national and local government debts and deficits.

9. Train 5 million doctors, dentists, nurses, teachers, professors and MANAGERS, machinists in the next 5 years.

10. Assist the poor Chinese in the rural areas first.

11. Improve mechanized agriculture, and upgrade technology in every field.
