1. )  Mat 14:30, “But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and when he began to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!

Peter did not cry out to Mary the mother of Jesus, Saint, Angel or any false god to save him. For he knows, Mat 16:16,

“Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Pulpit Commentary

Verse 30. - But when he saw the wind boisterous (ἰσχυρόν is clearly a gloss, and therefore omitted by the Revised Version). He was afraid; and beginning to sink. The natural tendency to sink, which he had had all the time, was counteracted before by his faith, which enabled him to receive Christ's power. But now that his doubt made him incapable of receiving this, he sank (cf. Meyer). He cried (ἔκραξεν), saying, Lord, save me (Matthew 8:25). Aphraates ('Homilies,' vide Resch, 'Agrapha,' p. 380) quotes an apocryphal saying of our Lord's, "Doubt not; lest ye are engulfed in the world, as Simon; for he doubled, and began to sink in the sea." Matthew 14:30.”

In the period of celebrating the Chinese new year 2026 the year of the horse and spring festival;  I was going to Hell.

At first I was having bad diarrhea. The hired woman who had experience with elderlies, she bought two medications. One dealing with diarrhea was very effective. Do not glorify the means, glorify the Lord who provides the means. However, the sickness was getting worse, the abdominal pain was excruciating and unbearable.

Do not have a gun, knife and poison around a person who has unbearable pain. I talked to my Heavenly Father: the pain was so unbearable that I was giving up hope, willing to end my life, to end the misery.

As it is written, Job 13:15,Even though He kills me;

I will hope in Him. Nevertheless, I will argue my ways to His face.” (AMP)

I prayed to my Heavenly Father, He may kill me, I would not commit suicide in violation of His commandment.

I live for three reasons:

First and foremost, I engage in the ministry of the Word, to proclaim the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ absolutely free of charge. The second and third reasons are private, I never disclose them. Only my wife and I know about them. God surely knows about them.

Who says there is no Hell on earth?

If you have a major illness like abdominal pain and go to any major hospital in Shanghai, you will know what Hell is like. In any hospital, you have to wait. Waiting game may benefit the hospitals, it is sure a great suffering for patients. You have to wait for everything. It takes time to register. It takes time to pay. It takes time to have venipuncture to have your blood for analysis. I had altogether 4 times taking my blood. If all the blood of all patients taken in all hospitals gather together, it can become a river. It takes time to have venipuncture to have a CT. It takes time to have urinalysis. It takes time to have a venipuncture to have IV Therapy. At the First Hospital where I had 6 IV THERAPIES each took 5 hours. At the first hospital I counted it took half an hour to get an IV seat. It took another have an hour to have a IV nurse to set you up. It takes time to get a medical test report. It takes time to wait to see a doctor. One time at the second hospital to see a doctor took more than an hour. You can seat on a wheelchair until you have pain in your buttock. When you are assigned to 5-hour IV Therapy, it is tantamount to sentence you to death row. The seat is so uncomfortable that the first time of IV Therapy, I could not walk. Second day we brought supporting pillow. Some incompetent nurses failed to do venipuncture, they pulled the needle out and did it again. Just thinking and looking at venipuncture gave me pain coming up from my feet. Every venipuncture I had to close my eyes and endured pain. At the second hospital I had six-hour IV Therapy. The seat was so uncomfortable. My good wife got a gurney so that I may lie down. Even that six-hour IV was unbearable. After all these experiences, you will now know for sure hospital is Hell.

Amid blizzards in the North East of U.S. with more than 800 flights cancelled, it was miraculous that God brought home my wife safely.  She was most ingenious to get my registration the next day at the Second Hospital and appointment to see a doctor. I cannot thank God enough for such a good and capable wife.

Do not have a gun, knife and poison around a person who has unbearable pain. I talked to my Heavenly Father: the pain was so unbearable that I was willing to end my life, to end the misery.

As it is written, Job 13:15,Though He slay me, I will hope in Him. Nevertheless I will argue my ways before Him.

In today’s language, Even God kills me, I would still believe in Him, I would still hope in Him.

Job 13:15Even though He kills me;

I will hope in Him. Nevertheless, I will argue my ways to His face.

On March 4 we went to the Second Hospital, leaving the house at 10 a.m. through a taxi. In any hospital, you wait for many things. It took time to register, it took time to pay, it took time to see a doctor. It took time to get a medical report. The doctors should be allowed half an hour for lunch and return to examine room for work. Waiting time may be a game for the hospital, it is a great suffering for patients. I observed almost all patients are saved by playing with their mobile phones. This is a bad case, it took more than an hour to see the doctor. All the doctors we consulted, the final one suggested we go to the Emergency Department for IV Therapy. After getting registration and payment. We waited for the doctor. The doctor was interesting. He was the first one who examined the site of my abdominal pain. After six o’clock we went to IV Treatment Center. As usual, the IV seats were uncomfortable. My wife showed up and she got a gurney so that I can lie down to have IV therapy. She was right, even lying on a gurney was most uncomfortable. I almost commited the wrong act by calling to quit the treatmen. At 12 o’clock, the IV therapy finally was finished and terminated. What a relief!

We had a pre-appointment on Saturday to have a procedure that I may not eat anything, even drinking water. Getting a taxi, that night we got home the next day at 1:45 a.m. We were worn out and rushed to bed. I never had such a bad experience all my life! I tell you it is Hell!

I returned from Hell to tell you the truth:

To die is easy, to live is difficult.

You can die any time, you live only a short time.

Sooner or later trouble and tragedy will fall upon you when there is no one to help. I want to tell you God is good. The grace of the Lord is sufficient. Without God, there is no hope in the world.

Strictly speaking, no one comes back from Hell. The Hell God provides for the devil and his followers is eternal. The sufferings of Hell are eternal. Once you are thrown into Hell, there is no escape. The hospital is a temporary Hell when you are ill. When you are well, the Hell vanishes.

It is wise you repent of your sins and believe in the Lord Jesus as your God and Savior now. Your sins will be forgiven, and you have a blessed hope on earth. God is good. The grace of the Lord is sufficient. In the future you will have eternal life where there is no sickness, no pain, and no death.

2.) Isa 12:2, “See, God has come to save me.
I will trust in him and not be afraid. The LORD GOD is my strength and my song;
he has given me victory.” (NLT)

Pulpit Commentary

Verse 2. - God is my salvation (comp. Psalm 27:1Psalm 38:22, etc.). The employment of the abstract "salvation" for the concrete "Savior" is extremely common. The Lord Jehovah; literally, Jab Jehovah - a combination which occurs only here and in Isaiah 26:4, where it is again used as an encouragement to perfect confidence and trust. Is my strength... salvation. This is quoted from the song of Moses (Exodus 15:2), which the prophet has throughout in his thoughts. Isaiah 12:2

3.)  Deu 31:6“Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or in dread of them, for the LORD your God is the One who is going with you. He will not desert you or abandon you.

Cambridge Bible for Schools and Colleges

6Be strong and of a good courage] Cp. Deuteronomy 3:28 : encourage and strengthen him (causative forms of the same vbs.).

4.)  Psa 6:4, “Return, LORD, rescue my soul;

Save me because of Your mercy.

Pulpit Commentary

Verse 4. - Return, O Lord. God seemed to have withdrawn himself, to have, forsaken the mourner, and gone far away (comp. Psalm 22:1). Hence the cry, "Return" (comp. Psalm 80:14Psalm 90:13). Nothing is so hard to endure as the feeling of being deserted by God. Deliver my soul. "The psalmist feels himself so wretched in soul and body, that he believes himself to be near death" (Hengstenberg). His prayer here is, primarily, for deliverance from this impending danger, as appears clearly from the following verse, Save me for thy mercy's sake. Either a repetition of the preceding prayer in other words, or an enlargement of it so as to include salvation of every kind. Psalm 6:4.”

UNLIKE animals, mankind has soul.

Jesus says, Mat 16:26“For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his

soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul?”

5.) Psa 7:1, “A Shiggaion of David, which he sang to the LORD concerning Cush, a Benjaminite. O LORD my God, in You I have taken refuge; Save me from all those who pursue me, and rescue me.

Pulpit Commentary

Verse 1. - O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust (compare the openings of Psalm 11, 31, and 71.). When David is most sorely pressed by persecution and danger, then is his faith and trust in God mast plainly apparent. Save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me. The Revised Version has, "from all them that pursue me;" but "persecute" is better. Hengstenberg and Kay have, "from all my persecutors." So also French and Skinner. The persecutors are such men as the Ziphites and others, who encouraged Saul in his attempts to take David's life (1 Samuel 26:1, 19). Psalm 7:1

6.)  Psa 55:16, “As for me, I shall call upon God,

And the LORD will save me.

Pulpit Commentary

Verses 16-23. - In conclusion, the psalmist turns altogether to God, whom he now addresses as "Jehovah" (vers. 16, 22), and expresses his confidence that, in answer to his continual prayers (ver. 17), God will come to his aid, will deliver his soul from the machinations of his enemies, and will visit them with "affliction" (ver. 19) and "destruction" (ver. 23). Still grieved chiefly by the defection of his unfaithful friend, he once more describes the treachery and heinousness of his conduct (vers. 20. 21), before winding up with a word of comfort for all the righteous (ver. 22), and of menace against all the ungodly (ver. 23). Verse 16. - As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord (Jehovah) shall save me. The call is upon the God known to man by nature as the Almighty Ruler of the universe; the answer is from the covenant God of Israel, the Self-existent One, in whom Israel trusts. The two are different aspects of one and the same Being. Psalm 55:16.”

7.)  Psa 70:1, “For the music director. A Psalm of David; for a memorial. God, hurry to save me;

LORD, hurry to help me!

Cambridge Bible for Schools and Colleges

1Make haste] The words, as the italics indicate, are not in the Hebrew; and as the text stands, we must either supply make haste from the next line, or render according to the Heb. idiom found in Isaiah 38:20God is ready to deliver me. But probably the first word of the verse as it stands in Psalm 40:13 should be restored, Be pleased. This word would be a link of connection with Psalm 69:13in a time when thou pleasest. make haste to help me] Cp. Psalm 22:19Psalm 38:22.

8.)  Psa 109:26, “Help me, LORD my God;

Save me according to Your mercy.

Benson Commentary

Psalm 109:26-29Help me, O Lord my God — But my hope is, that thou, my God, wilt seasonably interpose for my relief, and save me — Out of my troubles; according to thy mercy — That tender mercy which is wont to extend itself to those who have nothing else to depend upon. That they may know that this is thy hand — Being convinced of the eminence, singularity, and strangeness of the work. Let them curse, but bless thou — I can patiently bear their curses, as being causeless, and fully compensated by thy blessing. Or, rather, as the Hebrew, יקללו המהjekalelu hemma, is literally rendered, They will curse; I expect nothing else from them; ואתה תברךְveatta tebareck, but thou wilt bless me, and all those that trust in thee; for, blessed is the man who trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. When they arise let them be ashamed — Hebrew, קמו ויבשׁוkamu vajeboshu, they have arisen, namely, have taken active measures against me; they shall be ashamed — Disappointed of their wicked hopes and designs against me, and covered with their own confusion as with a mantle — For that unexpected destruction which they have brought upon themselves. Observe, reader, if God bless us, we need not care who curseth us; for how can they curse whom God hath not cursed? Nay, whom he hath blessed? Numbers 23:28. Men’s curses are impotent, God’s blessings are omnipotent. And those whom men unjustly curse, may in faith expect and pray for God’s blessing, his special blessing. When the Pharisees cast out the poor man for confessing Christ, Christ found him, John 9:35. When men, without cause, say all the ill they can of us, and wish all the ills they can to us, we may with comfort lift up our hearts to God in this petition: Let them curse, but bless thou.

9.)  Psa 143:9, “Save me, LORD, from my enemies;

I take refuge in You.

Cambridge Bible for Schools and Colleges

9.  Deliver me … from mine enemies] As Psalm 59:1; cp. Psalm 31:15Psalm 142:6.
I flee unto thee to hide me] The general sense is probably right, though it can hardly be got out of the present text. The Heb. verb denotes to cover or conceal, but not to hide (intransitively). Some commentators suppose that unto thee have I covered may mean ‘unto thee have I secretly confided my cause’: others think that it may bear the sense given by the A.V. Neither explanation is satisfactory, and probably we should read, with the change of a single letter (חסחי for כסחי), unto thee have I fled for refuge. So the LXX πρός σε κατέφυγον.

10.)  Isa 38:20The LORD is certain to save me;

So we will play my songs on stringed instruments

All the days of our life at the house of the LORD.”

Pulpit Commentary

Verse 20. - The Lord was ready to save me; rather, came to my rescuecame and saved me. Therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments; rather, therefore will we play my stringed instruments. Hezekiah calls the stringed instruments his, because he had recalled their use, and re-established them as a part of the temple service after the suspension of that service by Ahaz (2 Chronicles 29:30). His intention now is to take continual part with the Levites in (he choral praises of God, which were a part of the daily worship of the temple. This is to him the natural mode of expressing his thankfulness to God for the mercy vouchsafed him. Isaiah 38:20.”

11.)  Jer 17:14, “Heal me, LORD, and I will be healed;

Save me and I will be saved, for You are my praise.

This verse is so precious to me because I have been so ill and appreciate the truth.

Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; Save me and I will be saved, for You are my praise.

Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed,.... These are the words of the prophet, sensible of his own sins and backslidings, and of the part which he himself had in these corrupt and declining times; and being conscious of his own impotency to cure himself; and being fully satisfied of the power of the Lord to heal him; and being well assured, if he was healed by him, he should be thoroughly and effectually healed; therefore he applies unto him. Sins are diseases; healing them is the forgiveness of them; God only can grant this: or this may have respect to the consolation of him, whose soul was distressed, grieved, and wounded, with the consideration of the sins of his people, and the calamities coming upon them on that account: save me, and I shall be saved; with a temporal, spiritual, and eternal salvation; save me from the corruptions of the times, from the designs of my enemies; preserve me to thy kingdom and glory; there are none saved but whom the Lord saves, and those that are saved by him are saved to a purpose; they can never perish: for thou art my praise; the cause of it, by reason of mercies bestowed; the object of it, whom he did and would praise evermore, because of his favors, particularly the blessings of healing and salvation by him; see Psalm 103:1.

I have come back from Hell to tell you the truth. Strictly speaking, no one ever comes back from Hell. The Hell that God prepares for the devil and his followers is eternal. The sufferings of Hell are eternal. Once you are thrown into Hell you can never get out. For the sufferings of Hell are eternal. But the Hells of hospitals are temporary.  When you are ill, hospitals are Hell. When you are well, Hell vanishes.

Sooner or later trouble and tragedy will fall upon you when no man can help you. It is wise to repent of your sins and believe in the Lord Jesus as your God and Savior now. You will be saved and your sins are forgiven, and have a blessed hope on earth. In the future eternal life without pain or sickness and death.

Psa 50:15, “Call upon Me on the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor Me.” This is what the Heavenly Father tells His children to do.

I was waiting to die. Finally, the recue came on 3-24-26. I was saved from surgery, pain, and hospitalization. I cannot thank my God and Savior enough, I cannot honor my God and Savior enough.
